Roam 3 eTap cassette configuration

Hello,
I received my new Roam 3 yesterday. (Coming from a Boltv2)
I configured what I could get figured out in the Wahoo app and went for a ride. The problem is that the ride history is showing the incorrect number of teeth for the drive train.
In the section that shows my Gears it says that I have a 34T/50T chainring, and 11T/22T cassette, when I actually have a 33T/46T chainring and 36T/10T cassette.
How do I configure this in the Wahoo app?

I have a Trek Domane with SRAM eTap Rival groupset.
I have been Googling like crazy, but have not found the answer.
Thank you for any assistance you can give.

Been a while since I configured mine. I think after pairing etap the config is provided with the sensor display, i.e where you have the option to Forget Sensor.

Etap should be connected but maybe you Forget etap, re-pair. Vague but I recall gears setup may only be available after initial pairing?

Sounds like you missed that stage so ended up with a default selection.

Pair the Roam with the Wahoo App on your phone.

Pair the eTap with the Roam.

Go to the Roam in the Devices tab. Click on it, and then look at the sensors. You should see the eTap paired to the Roam, click on it.

From there, you should be able to see the gear setup. Pick the right chainring, and then try to pick the correct cassette. If your cassette is missing, you will need to individually set all of the cogs. You have to start with the big one at the bottom (36t) and work your way up to the small one (10t). This is dumb but how it works.

NOTE: DO NOT pair the eTap to the Wahoo App unless you’re going to record a ride on your phone and want gear data. Things directly paired to the Wahoo App are completely separate from things paired to an ELEMNT, and you can’t transfer or move them. This is dumb, but it is what it is. The only reasons to pair something to the Wahoo app:

  1. An ELEMNT
  2. A Wahoo sensor you want to receive firmware notifications for / update firmware
  3. A sensor you want to use while recording a workout from the app (like a trainer and heart strap for an indoor ride)

Thank you for the replies. Got it configured.
I did have to do a “Custom” configuration for my cassette and chainring. Bit of a strange setup, but like you said, it is what it is.

Yeah it’s wonky but it works.

Note that if you get another ELEMNT or do a factory reset you’ll have to do the full custom cassette setup again.
