Since late July 25 and running WH42, possibly previous firmware update in July, latency experienced. Rides start OK but typically after 18 mile some latency noticed getting progressively worse. After 30 mile, typical lag on radar alert, speed update, gear and mode, navigation instructions over 10 seconds.
Recent ride 58 mile delay increased to 15s. Passing cars 100 yards ahead before radar alert, speed and other fields on main page dissapear for several minutes. Page change and other buttons 15s before response.
Power down takes similar time to respond but function back to normal after power cycle.
Anyone else with these symptoms which remain witth WH47?
Ride today (30 mile) but with Live Tracking disabled and Wahoo App not running. Result = no latency!
I’d enabled live tracking late July after reports that it now worked.
I agree symptoms are like memory leak or comms buffer backlog. Next ride I’ll keep live tracking disabled but ride with Wahoo app connected.
Checked phone and app has unrestricted power, all access rights, notifications etc.
Thanks for suggestions which I’ll test. We shouldn’t have to use unproven firmware. Further, doesn’t seem to be anyone at Wahoo listening to problem reports or with technical product knowledge.
