I wanted to share that I’ll be leaving Wahoo for my next adventure. It’s been an incredible journey working with this community, your energy, curiosity, and feedback have helped shape so much of what we’ve built over the years.
I wish I’d been more active here recently, but I’ve always appreciated how dedicated and thoughtful this group is. I’ve learned a lot from all of you and will take that with me into what’s next.
Thank you for being such a big part of what makes Wahoo special. Keep riding strong and keep sharing your insights, they truly make a difference.
As a final gift…there are new SUF kits available, Sir Rupert will handle it from here, but you can check them out and place orders right now…and of course it is on a Monday
Everyone must create a gobik account at www.gobik.com
There are two windows,
1st window, member place their orders without being paid, so we collect the total amount of units per garments that are requested
2nd window collects payment, once we know the amount of jersey and bib short that has been collected, people will pay the price base on the units collected
Individual shipments are 15€
The shop will remain open until Monday November 3 for you to get your orders in. Once that day passes you will be contacted by Gobik to make your payments and the jerseys will go into production.
I’ve really enjoyed my time here and you are all part of that,
Oh my God it’s a Monday!!! I’ll Reply properly later after I recover from my heart attack!
Wowsers, you know how to make an exit what a mike drop!
EDIT:
Thank you very much for all the hard work you have put in at Wahoo, Michael. I am sure the bit I saw on the forum is less than the tip of an iceberg. Best wishes in all your future endeavours.
You may have left Wahoo, but Sufferlandria… muahaha you can never leave Sufferlandria! See you around Agonia. I frequent Amber Waves of Pain so likely to cross paths there.
Looks like they have found that body makeup and shape and fit is different for people of the same height and weight of older age. A younger person usually has more muscle mass so may be trimmer than an older person. At least is my assumption of their intent on asking that question.
It is great to have new SUF kit! But not that we are losing you at the same time.
@mgboehmer It has been a pleasure to have you here and I am sad to see you leaving. Based on our interactions over the years I have no doubt your new employer will be lucky to have you join them as you have been a big asset to Wahoo and The Sufferfest. Wahoo and especially us as users are certainly losing out. Wish you all the best in your future endeavors and where your road may lead.
If true that is a ridiculous assumption. Second, I have ordered quite a bit of clothing online, both athletic and non-athletic, and nobody has every asked for my age. I have been asked if I wanted generous, non-slim, or slim fit.
Seems like it only asked for my age when I tried their bot to recommend a size. I don’t recall giving my age otherwise. Though, at my advanced age I probably forgot what I did a few hours ago already.
I agree it’s a silly question but I see Gobik is applying “AI” to its fit choices.
I hope the age question makes you feel a bit better you weren’t on the female ordering side. I get why it asks for the size of my chest but the cartoony three choices of breast size were hilarious.
It couldn’t ask us to enter a measurement like every other clothing site ever? LOL.
I have never tried on Gobik so I sure hope their fit is actually correct….
Also, dang Sir! Just as we were starting to SUF love you, you shut down the “where’s the SUF kit at?” thread then…
It’s been a real pleasure getting to know you a bit in the forums. Your honesty and no yakshit style were refreshing. My fingers are tightly crossed that Rupert is able to manage without your steady hand.
I wish you only pain, misery and agony as you pursue honour, glory and victory wherever the road takes you and whatever path you take. Thanks!
Maybe check Reddit for Gobik sizing. I found a few threads with some useful advice for men’s sizing, and I’m going to go with my regular jersey size like I wear with other brands, rather than using up one like Gobik’s AI recommends.
