Stage 1 of the Wahooligan Tour is all about coming out of the gates together. We kick things off with the final-stage time trial at the Giro d’Italia alongside Attila Valter — our shared “race of truth” to open the week with grit and intention. Then we roll straight into Cash Register, a punchy sprint/settle/surge session that keeps the energy high and the legs honest. It’s a powerful start that reminds us this Tour isn’t just about the effort — it’s about riding side by side, pushing through the challenge together, and supporting the Davis Phinney Foundation and everyone living with Parkinson’s.
RIDE WITH TEAM DPF
Don’t ride it alone — join the live Zoom and take on the stage with Team DPF. It’s a straightforward way to stay accountable, share the effort, and connect with others who are showing up for the same reason. No pressure — just a group of people doing the work and supporting the Davis Phinney Foundation together. Log in, ride your ride, and be part of it.
The Wahooligan Tour prize pool is packed with incredible gear and exclusive swag — our way of celebrating riders who show up and rally their communities for a cause that matters. For every $10 you raise, you earn an additional entry into the prize pool, so every share and every donation boosts your chances to win while driving real impact in support of the Davis Phinney Foundation.
Question for @Helga@Rupert - if I’ve the 2026 tour in my calendar & ride any of the stages outdoors on my BOLT3, does it count towards the badge/event?
There’s a strange warmish orange ball in the sky in Ireland that’s been awol for months, want to get outside quick before it vanishes again
In the past, when I intentionally rode outside, matching the Stage profile, I have had the App running the video on my phone in my back pocket (sometimes with the volume cranked up). This way the App marked the Stage completed, and I could rightfully claim the badge (even though the App showed no actual data).
I woke up not feeling great this morning but somehow still expected to be able to do both stages at 100%.
I didn’t realize the TT in Giro basically was an FTP test for me. Took a short break and only made one prime and the final sprint of cash register at 100%.
Is my first time seeing the remaster and I really missed the excitement of the Davis sprints being shown. But, I’m grateful there’s the nice outro at the end!
It reminded me of how much I enjoyed the group virtual ride last year with Davis, Laura, from the DPF, and Alex Steida, and the ones from the group here who joined. I’m happy to be able to support a foundation run by Good people with a positive and realistic vision. Live well today!
Fun Stage 1. Spent part of the afternoon sorting out the trainer, power meter, and weird Systm cadence sheenanigans , Giro (not done before, like it) then crash half way through Cash Register. Obviously had to redo, so glycogen replenishment was slightly delayed.
Stage one done. Struggled with the giro stage, harder than I remember. I think I have done igniter first in the past though. Need a longer warm up for an effort like that.
