The Knight Rides 2025

Maybe 4 w/kg but certainly not 8.

either way, Sir, you’re a one man watt bomb, where, currently, I’m a one watt man bomb :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: i’ve also let my Zwift sub lapse. Does anyone know if the “free 25 km” thing tosses you out of an event prior to the end of a longer ride?

Maybe I need to swap us out and I’LL be the sweeper, Sir Ruben @Medina81!

I don’t believe it does. It doesn’t in Free ride mode anyways.

I rode a Knight Ride in December that was 28km long. I was able to ride the whole event.

However… once I crossed my free 25km limit I felt like I became invisible. I think I was able to see everyone and their chats, and I was still sending messages in the chat, but it felt like nobody was either seeing or responding to my chats or repsonding to my efforts.

So I think you continue on for the rest of the event ride, but once you cross that 25km limit you turn invisible and can no longer be seen or interact with anyone else in the event.

Perfect for your potty breaks.

hmmm, I don’t recall taking such breaks during a Knight Ride. I might have missed a couple of rides because of them tho’ :stuck_out_tongue:

Well that was a grind - more than I’d expected! Probably didn’t help that TR has my mileage up for the week, but 90 minutes powering around the Surrey Hills with a gimp back was…a choice. :upside_down_face:

On the plus side, my new/surplus training setup in the pain cave is complete: a maxed out, 10yr old Mac Pro graphic design workstation with x2 GPU’s dedicated to the indoor trainer. My avatar looks like a better cyclist than I’ll ever be! You folks looked GORGEOUS today. :joy:  :joy:

Great efforts all around. Sir Ruben @Medina81 was the super sweeper for a couple of thrown chains (thanks Ruben!); said thrown chains SUFFered bravely to work back to the peloton; and where would we be w/o Sir Alan @montgoma graciously giving us a head start out of the gates, then valiantly TT’ing to catch us before the hills!

Thanks to all again for joining us. Had a lot of fun. As mentioned, look for another TTT coming up in the next couple of weeks. On a dedicated course this time (who knew?).

Awesome! This one time, I did Leith Hill 75 times in a row, then for fun, added on some extra mileage to get 320kms.

That’s right, to celebrate the (hopefully) end of a REALLY @#$% COLD WEEK here in the US of A

This week we’re going to tackle Watopia’s SNOWMAN route.

Should be a good route - again, a little something for everyone!

Hope to see you Saturday! Especially our newly-minted Knight, Sir @pier_nijenhuis!

Calling all Sufferlandrians who also use the Zwift app. The Saturday, January 25 Knight Ride has been posted. Here is the link so you can ride along with this merry group of Knights and Citizens of Sufferlandria. The miles are plentiful, the in-ride banter amusing and the suffering indescribable. Can we achieve an all time high in participation? You tell us the answer to that question! Here’s the link to the ride.

The ride is banded so you choose the level of effort you wish to apply. As long as you keep pedaling you will stay in the group. Coconuts are optional
