Why does Primers always seem just a little bit harder than I want/expect?

Definitely relatable! I’m doing primers tomorrow, as it happens, and Full Frontal the next day. A couple of times a year I usually use the all-purpose program and the last week is always Tapers, Recharger, and Primers before FF, so I experience this frequently!

Notice the other rider in the first set who they don’t actually call “Butter Boy” but it’s obviously him (though not the same IRL cyclist as Butter Boy in the second set)
Butter is churned (and so am I). The long incomplete recovery sections gave me plenty of time to question my life choices.
