Hi - Is there a way to watch the videos with the video’s audio off, while still being able to hear the system prompts to speed up and slow down?
I enjoy watching most of the videos that accompany the workout sessions; however, music / audio can be irritating as #$%^.
Please understand that the Euro soundtracks and/ or the newage whatevertheheckitis fruitcake music may not appeal to everyone. I’m an old school 57yr old male from the USA - I like rock and metal. I’m sure my soundtracks would make others cry… So, doesn’t it make sense to allow the user to watch the video with the video’s audio off but retain the ability to hear the system prompts?
Yes, open the little settings cog (top right) and somewhere in there is a tab to turn sound effects on/off (those are your audio effort prompts) and music on/off (which is everything else)
thx… I just canceled my monthly SYSTM subscription via the Apple store. I have a couple of weeks remaining so I’ll try your fix; however, I’m going to go back to TrainerRoad to see how their adaptive training works. My primary concern is that the new CEO wants to make this Pelotron as opposed to better than TrainerRoad. I don’t like or want fruity gimmicky nonsense.
@Utah_Tom Wahoo bought Sufferfest a few years ago - that is where a lot of the video came from. They actually used to be available on Trainer Road’s platform until Sufferfest created their own app.
Try the On Location workouts with Mike Cotty. They don’t have music.
Yep. Primary, IMO, are solid 4DP plans and workouts. I find the Suff vids to be a great distraction from the tedium of indoor training. I’m not a big fan of the On-location and Inspiration vids. They’re OK once through. There have been many asked-for improvements in the workout player and calendar in the 3 years I’ve been here with none being implemented, and very few Suff vids added. I’ve been on Zwift and Trainerroad too, but I’m gonna try a some other apps and see what’s what with them.
I assume you mean Peloton? SYSTM workouts are nothing like Peloton’s. Adaptive training on TR has its limitations, too. An alternative is HumanGo which has adaptive training (admittedly needs work and is in its infancy) but can leverage SYSTM workouts, but does mean dual subscriptions. If you REALLY want customised training, the best option is a coach. I’m currently coached, and use SYSTM workouts.
The CEO of Wahoo is a good guy too! Some great interviews with him kicking around online.
