That’s a good one, too.
Last year I let the donor who pushed me over $1,500 pick the video.
But crowd-sourcing it (from a pre-defined list) sounds like a good plan this time.

Man, every time I take a work call I have 10 emails to come back to. And that’s WITHOUT Sir Glen!
If I get an additional $500 in donations I would definitely ride The Omnium every day in April.

@Heretic With that, I think you’ve more than earned the ability to choose the source of my April suffering.
I’m not as verbose as Sir Glen, so having a much more difficult time finding the words, but you are spectacular.
My April schedule has now been duly filled. I wonder what my 4DP weakness will be once I test again in May?
Thank you.
Of course you will pay attention and get your recovery between rides as needed.
I take advantage of the 50-hour SUF day and double-up some days so I can rest on others, and occasionally dialing it down to ensure I don’t blow a kidney and get recovery. But the suffering is always just epic.
The idea is to ride to help cure a medical condition, not to create other ones in the process.
Only GvA approved type 2 suffering of course.
Please can we all remind ourselves that the purpose of the Tour (since the first edition) was to raise funds for the Davis Phinney foundation to help those living with Parkinsons live well today. This has and always will be the goal of the Tour (Suferlandrian or Wahooligan) in years to come.
DPF hosts many events throughout the year all with that same cause at heart. I for one am proud to say that the event has now raised over $2million in funds and I am sure @Lauren_TeamDPF and the rest of the foundation will be able to say how these funds have helped change many lives.
Whether you are a long time Sufferlandrian or a first time rider. The options are always there to ride individually or to ride for a team but at the end of the day, we have an event goal of $215,000 to achieve meaning all teams are working towards that communal goal.
Fundraising closes on March 6 for the prize pool and Wahoo employees are not eligible for the prizes so the races is far from over with lots of great items to be won!
Thank you all (and especially @Heretic) for helping me exceed my fundraising goal for this Tour.
According to Facebook, I’m at $1,455 raised. I’m excited and overjoyed at the possibility of hitting $1,500 raised for the second year in a row.
Feb 25 was not just the first day of this year’s Tour, it was also the 1 year anniversary of the day last year that my dad passed away from complications of Atyipcal Parkinsonism (PSP) and ALS. Together with The Sufferfest and my dad’s love of cycling and our history of watching the 7-Eleven team compete in the Tour de France, David Phinney and the Davis Phinney Foundation have a very special place in my heart. So I am thankful that you all have helped to contribute to such an amazing and important cause.
Even tho it can no longer help my dad, all your contributions to the DPF will help others who continue to live with the effects of Parkinson’s and related diseases live better lives today. And that brings a special warmth to my heart. Watching other Sufferlandrians rally to help others is an amazing sight to behold.
Thank you, all.
Thank you, Sir @Rupert for the reminder of why we are all here.
Every donation big and small makes a world of a difference for the people with Parkinson’s around the world who need help recognizing every victory, who need reliable, current, and practical tools to live well TODAY. We provide that. We do that every day.
You may be facing your own battle, and The Tour is your own victory! Hats off to you, friend. I’m glad you’re here. You might be here for the fitness alone, or the worldwide community - thank you to you too! Your participation really matters! I’m profoundly grateful that Wahoo has continued this important fundraising event for the Davis Phinney Foundation. And it’s fun.
So when someone, anyone, donates generously - big or small - it makes a difference. Because the work we do at the Foundation matters greatly.
Thank you Sufferlandrians. Thank you Wahooligans. Thank you everyone in between. Thank you Team DPF!
Join us on Zoom tomorrow - Davis Phinney wants to ride with you.
Looking for final motivation to complete.
If my fundraiser hits $500 target by midnight Boulder Co time (7 am GMT) I will ride Stages 6 and 7 Sufferlandria route back to back at 100% of course. A total of 3 hours on top of 7 days straight riding. Should be epic suffering.

Thanks for the tip!. Also, I see what you’re doing for donations on here, holy cow. Are you motivational!
Right!!!
Hands down, CoS has the most members 187 to 115. I think at the start of Stage 1 we were 168 to 115 so that one is in the bag!
What fresh heII is THIS then?!?!
I dunno man, I’ve read some of your private messages and don’t even get me started on your serial Knighthood quest write ups! lol
…and this and for people like you is why we do these ridonculous things. Because we are fortunate enough to be able to choose our suffering.
So we got 2 rides in the SUF route for Stage 7. That is, if you’re doing the approved version. Personally, I’ve subbed out the ride with Boz for 14VG + Joyride as my “quiet” protest, plus imma add No Place Like Home after High Time cuz…SUFFERLANDRIA forever etc etc.
My Stage 7 will therefore have 4 parts. Plus, if you wanna join me and @Tiago_Branco for a special bit of bonus Suffering, come ride a lap of Alpe du Zwift. Sir Fran Hayes has decided to really take advantage of the 50 hour window with an epic virtual Everesting there: between Stages 6 and 7!! I figured a single rep was the least I could do in support!
Walking ?
Brilliant!!!
Thank you Sir Evan @emacdoug
