This one easily could have been a win by changing some cycling content and adding a bang on soundtrack!
Instead we have this…
I’m sad I didn’t get to do the original version; Primers was the only Sufferfest video I didn’t have downloaded prior to the recent De-Suffing.
And yeah…even with it being the first time, my thoughts were “this is seriously boring”.
@Rupert going to pester for a response again. Why has this, and other videos, been de-suffed? Is that not removing what makes SYSTM stand out from other platforms. If the videos become dull and loose what made them great, then may as well be on trainer road and just choose something interesting to watch.
What is almost worse than all the de-SUFing is being ghosted by the only representative of The Company tasked with managing the marketing of software products
The original Primers video wasn’t particularly engaging, IMO. It just had SUF ethos related text overlaid.
I don’t disagree with it not being overly engaging. But, that’s not really the point. We knew exactly what to expect and it delivered exactly that. It features in every test prep plan and just as much in the longer training plans. If ever there was a video worth giving the whole SUF treatment, this was it, or it would have been before it was destroyed for still, no explicable reason. That said, there was a “promise” to add music to the new Primers so that’s exciting (as if that is gonna make me wanna do it any more in it’s current state
)
What Primers provided was motivating text and images that prepare you mentally (the biggest part of any big event) and the workout itself prepared you physically. It would have been a very easy win for The Company, and I have said this repeatedly over the years, to turn it into a full on SUF video with some added music, and maybe updated cycling video. Just like they did with Tapers.
As for Tapers though, like Primers, Cadence Builds, Elements of Style, and Standing Starts, these have been “removed” from The Sufferfest Channel (despite their Sufferfestiness) and placed, erm, hidden, where the only way you’ll find it is if you search for it under the Cycling category, or filter the cycling category for “Wahoo Fitness” which is sort of a channel, but sort of isn’t or filter it for “techniques and drills”, but if you do that, you won’t get Primers
Well, it was my point
I don’t disagree with anything else you’ve written but you have gone long, long, beyond my reply to @Brann_Mac_Finnchad about him finding the current Primers boring. The original video was not much better, if better at all.
Got it. I do tend to go long, long beyond things so…
I have this, admittedly VERY naive, flickering hope of getting some type of response from The Company (or even better, a reversal
)
After his only reaction to the discussions about their inappropriate “h++ligan” branding was to replace his profile picture with one in which he wears a “h++ligan shirt”, I no longer believe he is willing to contribute to positive change in any area.
Why, do you think, they won’t reply to our questions. I mean, they don’t even offer an explanation “as to why” they had to make some changes to some of the videos. Do you think it’s because they feel “This is what we doing. It’s our company. It’s our decisions. We don’t have to “explain” anything.”
???
If that is truly their attitude, then my reaction would be to not participate in the next Tour. Why should I contribute to their good will in the world, when they do not care about my opinion. I do not lack for places to make charitable contributions, and I can always contribute to DPF on my own.
because that’s exactly what they’ve been doing.
We are paying customers, we’re just after a bit of customer service.
I suppose we could put in formal support request tickets cuz we’re not getting any action here.
Exactly, I did so already this time. As a European, I‘m no longer willing to participate in a wahool**n tour. I donated to an organisation providing helpful information for people with cancer in my country.
Did you think it would matter if we all put in the same support ticket at the same time?
Rupert may be able to control information from the forum, but I would imagine support tickets appear in a different management reporting process.
I guess it depends on what is meant by “we all”?
It means everyone in this forum who wants to participate in submitting the same support ticket.
According to my understanding that was caused by GvA spending all the money on lactate acid shooters – maybe that is the real cause of Wahoo’s financial problems.
