Just 3 weeks into the 12 week All Purpose plan I’ll be on family vacation for 2 weeks (no bike, just city and jungle walks in high humidity w 12 hour time difference). When I get back should I just restart the plan from the beginning since I’ve put so little time in? Or use the delete/re-add plan hack to pause the training plan?
In hindsight I probably should have just waited until Jan to start the training block. But I preceded it with a 6 week transition plan and was eager to get started.
I mean, for two weeks? I would probably just pick up where I left off as well - but you could really go either way. Would think it depends on your training year and how you have things laid out.
If your fitness is ok and you’re making good progress in your plan, two weeks won’t tank it, but maybe see how you feel after the pause before you decide.
It depends on how quickly you lose fitness. As an older athlete, two weeks with no exercise would make it almost impossible to pick up where I left off.
Some hour to hour and half frequent walks can help maintain some of that fitness. If you can do that, you might be able to pick up form where you left off.
