Wahoo App in iPhone doesn’t register elevation

Hey there. Just finished a route with high elevation, I use wahoo speed, cadence and heart rate sensors with my iPhone. It shows like a flat route, only the distance is ok. How do I fix the elevation, so the information is correct? Thank you

First, welcome to the forum. I don’t believe this app has the ability to capture elevation on any device. It just isn’t a data point they make any attempt to capture.

The confusing thing is that this forum has turned into a forum for all Wahoo apps.

SYSTM is no capable of recording Elevation.

However, the Wahoo app does.

Did you make sure your GPS was connected when you began? That’s the one way the Wahoo app (WA) will be able to give you elevation.

Or maybe your route really was completely flat.

@emacdoug I am a bit confused. What is the difference between the Systm app & Wahoo app? How do you get the Wahoo app and how do you access it to do workouts? And I guess, is it worth it to do that?

SYSTM is the SYSTM app where you do Sufferfest and indoor riding and other SYSTM workouts. that are in the SYSTM app.

The Wahoo app is a larger exercise and fitness tracker. It connects to your other equipment and devices and bike computer and you can use it for all your outdoor riding, running, and any other exercises (even indoor riding). You also use it to update the firmware on all Wahoo devices.

The Wahoo app doesn’t run indoor SYSTM workouts. Those you have to run in SYSTM.

Wahoo has said that In the near future these will be combined into a single app. But for now they are two separate apps.

And Wahoo has been directing Wahoo app users to this forum even tho it was originally The Sufferfest and then SYSTM and then Wahoo X only. So the addition of Wahoo app users who don’t use SYSTM has made things confusing when we don’t know at first which app they are using.
