Hi Daniele,

We will be looking into it, we try to support as many sensors as possible, but we need to reach out to get a device and determine what data they send and how they send it so we can build a plan for support.

Bumping this. I know it’s only been a month and a half, but curious if there’s any update on communication with TymeWear?

Also very keen to hear about this.
Looking in to getting one of these straps but Wahoo not supporting is annoying.
Would probably have to start using my Garmin watch for workouts or swap over to an Edge…

I fear this is a much bigger deal than Wahoo seems to think it is. Ventilation could very will be the future and being late to the game here will hurt. I’ve been turning down insane deals through partners for Garmins for years because I’ve loved my ELEMNTs and some of the nice simplicity. Xert having functionally through a Connect IQ app has my curiosity but wasn’t enough to get me to make the move, but if the first device to accurately track real time ventilation comes out and Wahoo isn’t on board I’m done. TICKRs have been a disaster and somehow my $1200 KICKR can’t be updated to support virtual shifting but a $500 KICKR Core can?

I agree with everyone here! I have one of the Tymewear straps ordered and looking for Wahoo to get the data shown on head units.

From all the information out there and Professor Seiler’s involvement, this will be a tool that Wahoo needs to embrace. Until then I guess starting in September my Garmin Forerunner becomes front and center of my training going forward.

Look, we all know that Wahoo just works so let’s make it work with Tymewear!

Anyone mind sharing the lowdown on what one of these things is?

From their website:

“The VitalPro chest strap includes breathing, heart rate, motion, and elevation sensors. Measure your individual training zones, target them in real-time, and improve your endurance faster.”

If you pre-order now they project it’ll be shipped in late September, which to me makes it understandable that Wahoo is not involved yet. Perhaps tymewear reached out to get Garmin involved.

By the way, it’s not cheap: pre-order is $299

Being a total nerd, I’ve got on board with this. £250 is steep, but they’re chucking in a year’s subscription to their training platform. TrainerRoad costs me nearly £200 a year, so that makes the cost more palatable.

I very much prefer the Wahoo computer experience to the Garmin one, so I hope integration is on the way. In the meantime, I think it will be possible to record outside rides using the Tymewear app on my phone while using my Roam for navigation and all the usual stats. I don’t “train” outside anyway - just ride.

Hi there, I wanted to check if there are any updates. It would be great to know if this task has been added to the backlog. I don’t need to know when it’s expected to be completed; I just want to know that it’s in the plan.

Thanks!

I agree with @silkanvil in that it would be nice to know if it is on the list for adding the metrics to our Wahoo Elemnts? Especially since I have my strap and actively using it now.

How’s the strap working out for you? I received mine in the mail yesterday, but I haven’t had the time to set it up yet. Hopefully, I can do that this weekend!

Not too bad, but I normally don’t have an issue with heartrate straps. I will say that their measurements run big as I ordered what they suggested and to get it tight enough, I’m in the last hole available. I have asked about how to get the smaller size so will see what they say.

Mine arrives today. Guess I’ll be hitting up friends to borrow a Garmin until I decide to pull the trigger on one myself. I’ll report back on the strap sizing too.

Ooo, whereabouts are you guys? I was wondering this morning whether I’d have mine soon so it’s good to hear they’re shipping now.

I just opened mine up this morning and tried to size it and had a similar experience. I must be some sort of in-between size or something. I’m on the last holes without any of the extension straps, but when I tried putting extension straps on it’s way too big and a single extension strap is also still too big but also not centered under my shoulder blades.

I’m in Virginia (USA)

I don’t think it needs to be centered between the shoulders. It can be offset.

+1 on the request to support Tymewear’s VitalPro strap. I just got mine and really don’t want to have to buy a Garmin head unit to use it.
