I have had a Wahoo shift bike for several months now, only satisfied after the warranty period, I think. For example, that belt won’t last for years, right? everything wears out…
Nowhere do I read anything about installing a new belt or if this is necessary?
Not sure myself but very disappointed with Wahoo. My Bike Shift crapped out last week after having it for less than three months.
Out of the blue, the entire top unit (not the base, obviously) became loose. A few days ago, Wahoo SYSTM no longer displayed the power or cadence. Disconnected and reconnected it, as well as unplugged/plugged back in, and reset the SYSTM app.
Riding on my Madone and Kickr trainer right now no issue, just 3 times louder and not nearly as smooth!
Ive just had a brand new shift sent to me as a warranty replacement for my original which was 15 days shy of the 12 month warranty expiring. For some reason the drivetrain completely seized…couldnt turn the pedals at all. It was fine one workout…went to use it two days later…nope.
It had 2300 miles on it. My wahoo kickr core prior to my original shift also failed just before the end of the 12 month warranty. Thats two Wahoo indoor trainers…neither lasted 12 months
Update to this…having done just three rides on the new warranty kickr shift…the flywheel is vibrating slightly when pedalled. The vibration transmits through the entire frame and i can feel it via my hands on the bars…back in touch with customer support. Not happy
