Anyone have any insight as to what the program considers a “hard ride”? When I logged on today it said I had done 'less that two hard workouts in the last 7 days". More often than not it says I HAVE done more than 2 and offers me an easy ride. This was a first.
Here are the rides I did of consequence in the past 7 days:
ProRides: Ride London 1
On Location: French Pyrenees: Cirque de Gavarnie
On Location: Galicia: Camarinas to Muxia
My guess is they don’t consider the On Location rides as hard. Yet what they offered me as a hard ride to do today is Cash Register 32m/0.86IF/40 TSS.
The two On Location rides are 51m/0.79 IF/54 TSS & 1h.8m/0.72 IF & 59 TSS. It must be the IF as the sole determinant since both the time and TSS are higher than Cash Register.
@emacdoug Sir Evan, you probably did some Sufferfest ‘remastered’ versions where they completely neutered the ride. In that case, they don’t think they are hard any more!
If you are referring to the workouts that Sir Neal helped tone down, then they should still count as Hard Rides, especially compared to the No-Vids that I keep getting recommended.
I also Did Rue the Day and Team Scream. If Team Scream isn’t a hard ride then the only way to get a hard ride is to do 9H and turn it up to 111%.
Mine does the same, though I think because it isn’t taking account of TSS from outside rides I’ve done previously, it just seems to be ignoring them.
It always suggests a “harder” one of the same TSS or less than what I;ve done over the last two days! I think I have the suggestions set to 45 minute max workouts, but still…
I will admit it IS useful just for not having to think too hard about what workout to do that day.
