Yoga video speed error!

This should be a priority for them. It appears that it is not.

This interferes with the ability of people to do the workouts properly. It also wastes people’s time because they have to play the workout from the beginning if they wish to review a move or position.

I have had workouts double or triple the time taken because of this issue.

Fixing an issue such as this is more important than adding new functionality.

Pretty annoying that it is still happening not only on yoga/strength but now occurs on cycling videos after months of no issues. This is no bueno. Tried the whole gamut (delete vid, delete app, delete universe, reload all) and no joy. Agree w Heretic

Same here, used to be once in a while event. After updating to iPad OS, 18 yoga and strength downloaded videos are consistently being played at x10 normal speed. Streaming is ok. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not help. Downloaded cycling video (Open 15) played normally.
iPad Air 4th generation, OS 18. Hope somebody at Wahoo will take care of it……

I have also experienced this after upgrading my iPhone to iOS 18. The latest iOS update didn’t fix. Nor did re-installing the SYSTM app.
For me it only affects yoga videos.
I have found that turning off Bluetooth means that eventually the video settles down to normal speed. I just rewind at that point and then it plays normally.

@simonjday I downloaded one of the yoga videos. It played at fast speed. Turned off Bluetooth, went back to the start of the video. Now it played normally. Thank you very much!
Maybe the next incarnation of SYSTM will fix it :crossed_fingers:

I logged a support ticket this morning and got this response:

Hi Simon,

Thanks for contacting Wahoo - I’m so sorry for your experience with the yoga videos after updating to iOS 18.

We just discovered this issue late yesterday and confirmed that there were changes to iOS 18 affecting the video playback for yoga and mobile/strength videos. We are working on this, but in the meantime, if you stream the videos, they do playback at the correct speed.

I’ve tagged your ticket so we can let you know as soon as we have this resolved.

Thank you!

Warmest Regards,

@simonjday Thanks for sharing. I am finding IOS 18 issues in a number of places including my Zwift Companion app and also some other apps and general slowness on my phone.

Turning off Bluetooth didn’t work for me. Plus us old deaf folks with hearing aides really do appreciate the link. Sure wish the minions would just fix the issue rather than suggesting creative work arounds

This problem STILL persists in March 2025. Strength workouts are a maddening and unusable part of Wahoo X Training for me because of it. There is no good excuse for not fixing a video playback issue after 2-3 years while telling paying customers you’re working on it.

Same here - have talked to customer support who told me to log out, delete the app, restart the device, redownload and reinstall the app. It did work, but now the problem is back again and the same fix doesn’t work. No way!

I can’t believe this is a 3 year old problem! My specific issue is with iPhone/ipad app and downloaded workout/yoga video.

This is making me wanting to quit SYSTM.

Is it with specific yoga videos? I do Morning Yoga Routine and Lower Back Recovery at least 2 or 3 times per week and don’t have this issue. So maybe it’s specific videos? Which videos are you having trouble with?

My subscription expired in March, does anyone know if this has been fixed?

Unfortunately it hasn’t been, we have no idea what happened. We have not changed anything in our video player or downloaded video playback in SYSTM and this bug appeared right after iOS had a major version bump. We reported to Apple as other video playback companies have but obviously we have not heard anything more.
