Seeing all the beta testers saying it’s worth the wait, I’d make it a go! But I guess that’s easy for me to say, having a subscription running till 2023
Even the current content and functionality is worth resubscribing for…
Honestly? If you are on the fence and are not satisfied with the current offering, just switch to the monthly plan and see what’s new and released a few month down the line.
Keep your options open. You can always go back to the yearly plan once you are convinced.
Me, I am a die-hard fan now and can never leave, but there should always be room for a more reasonable approach.
Not honestly, I am chancing my arm
You had me at Lazer goats
way cool update … Its a tough haul to refactor an app while switching up SDK libraries. Hopefully the new base platform will enable future native support of additional OSes…once we see Android support, can Linux be far behind? (That’s all we run here). I’ll probably get the Android SUF app running under Android Studio though!
I strongly recommend renewing @Padair - the new platform is shaping up to be incredible with something for everyone.
or cancel and renew if it’ll be good
Or if you think it’s good already then stay subscribed so as to continue training (if the first experiences were good of course).
But like someone just mentioned above, also easy for me to say as on an annual sub based on the old app already.
Will it kind of be like last time were if you get rid of the old plan all the old workouts are kept but when you start the new plan with the same start and end dates as the old plan it updates with all the new content?
I am renewing with the old app, the new content will be a bonus
Yep
Already looking forward to the September update, hoping the update will be a launch
Hey Everyone. Just to let you know, we’ve had to raise the minimum for iOS and now will only support iOS 14 and above. Our new platform will not work effectively on iOS 13.
GOOD NEWS ALERT
All devices supporting iOS 13 can also run iOS 14, as per Wikipedia.
Sad news
Both my family’s iPads stop at iOS 12.5.4. Will there be a possibility to still run the old app?
Hopfully it will work with my old Mac which is used for cycling, the iPads are mostly for yoga or strength.
It…might. But it’s hard to say…we’ve experienced enough difficulties with it to decide that we can’t support it. Really sorry about that.
Yeah, totally understand. But if you could just leave it as an unsupported option for those not able to upgrade and possibly with some sort of disclaimer, that would be great.
I’m pretty sure you just won’t be able to upgrade your app any further. So it would likely continue to work for a while longer. But when the video hosting changes, you’ll be forced to upgrade or use your computer.
What is the minimum Android version the app can run on?
@Padair “Officially”, as per post #1…
I suspect it’ll work absolutely unofficially fine on 7 upwards. Until it doesn’t. Wonder if it’ll work on my 10 year old Xperia Compact that’s still running 2.something. It is still (for real!) my regular bike “computer” after all
