Bluetooth on KICKR Bike Shift

For the most part, my KICKR Bike Shift works well. However, once in a while… Nothing changed in my setup from when I did a workout on January 1st. However today, the left shifter would not descend, only go up, seems like all kinds of Bluetooth issues. I was using my iPad. When I switched to my MacBook, it seemed to work but I could still not shift to an easier gear. Now, a few days ago, I connected to the Wahoo App to see if there were firmware updates, but then closed the app. I have seen where the Wahoo app being open could be an issue. The thing is, I usually prefer to run on ANT+. For this kind of equipment, we users should not have to deal with this and have to try to figure this out while trying to do a ride. So, for my ride tomorrow, is there anything I should do to avoid having these issue? Thanks
