Hi
I’m at a loss as to why my V2 Bolt will not update to the latest software version. I’ve read previous threads about turning off the 5GHz wireless frequency on my router and I’ve done this therefore limiting it to 2.4GHz only but this hasn’t worked. I’ve also reset all the pages on the computer to ‘on’ but still no joy. I have also unpaired and repaired phone and computer. And yes, I have tried the turn it off/turn it on method
Are you updating via phone (when Bolt is connected) or from the Bolt itself?
I gave up on updating using my phone, it almost never worked. I now go to the settings on the Bolt and initiate an update from there. It uses my home wifi as well.
@hobbyhoarder @PilotPete It should update from the app but I often do a double check using the menu on the Bolt.

To be honest I’ve tried both ways.
I can see that the WiFi is connected on the Bolt (WiFi signal flashes) and then I get the ‘checking please wait’ notification but it refuses to download the latest version. Do I have something set up on the Bolt itself that needs to be turned on to let the download complete? I’ve turned on maps but this made no difference.
Not that I know of, simply having WiFi should do it. Have you tried a factory reset yet?
Yes, this.
Factory reset is almost certainly going to be the answer, there is probably something broken from a previous update or a broken partial download of a new update. It’s the kind of thing that’s uncommon, but can happen.
Factory reset the unit, update it, connect it to your phone and you should get the option to restore your old setup.
Thanks for the help. I’ll try the FR and see what happens.
Cheers
