Possibly been mentioned before but have searched and can’t see it.
Two workouts are showing in my calendar for tomorrow. A full body workout and a bike workout.
I would normally work from the top down. So, as they are organised I would do the full body workout first and then the on bike workout. But in the notes (which I usually don’t bother to read) it says to do the bike before the strength. It would be nice if the workouts were ordered correctly or were perhaps numbered 1st 2nd etc.
I’m curious as to what the benefit is to doing the bike before the strength. It looks to me as though there would be more of a chance of failing the strength, especially in the legs, after the standing starts. Curious.
Yes, the calendar workout order has been frustrating like this since SYSTM was rolled out. It would really be great if a feature for training plans and users to choose the order of the workouts in the calendar workout could be implemented.
In this particular case, the idea is to do the bike workout while the legs are fresh. After a brief warm-up, you are to give it your all for the short intervals.
I’ll bring this over to Mac, there are use cases where you would want to do strength first, and we can order the workouts in the plans in SYSTM (though it won’t update your current plan), so at least it will be correct for others that find it.
Cadence drills usually follow the strength workout since the emphasis is on speed and souplesse, not power, so you are absolutely correct in that the appropriate order is not always the same.
