Crack in Kickr bike v1 shifter

It’s time to change the bar tape on my 18 month old V1 Kickr bike, and I noticed a huge crack in the plastic around the Allen bolt; I’ve not had cause to examine under the hoods until now so I wonder if this has been over torqued at assembly.

Anyone else had this problem? Is the shifter going to fall apart?

I’ve raised a support request to enquire about a replacement…

I had exactly the same with my left shifter. It stopped working and a replacement handlebar assembly was sent out very quickly and the original one collected a few days later.

I took the opportunity to replace the handlebars and tape at the same time, which I was rather nervous about as both new jobs to me.

Without this it would have been a 1 minute replacement. Super simple nd awesome service from the minions as always.

Kickr bike has a 2 year warranty so should be covered too. Mine was.

Thanks!
Hoping for a positive response from the minions!

The Minions will helpfully be shipping new handlebars
Great service as ever!

Now I’ll get back to my flogging station…

Well the replacements arrived really quickly… but they look like they’ve been used in the Tour, Vuelta, Giro AND classics… without the attention of a mechanic!

BOTH shifters cracked, rusty bolts, corroded phono connectors - these had clearly had a regular dunking in the Holiest of Sufferlandrian Holy Water!

Back they go to the minions for another try…

Well superbly resolved by an expert minion who I hear prescribed an extended flogging session of the 8th and 9th hammers played on loop to a naughty subordinate.

Brand new replacements have arrived!

That’s the service I expect from Wahoo. Why you received someone else’s broken stuff doesn’t seem right
