De-SUF me, De-Hoo You!

Righto… I’ve had a bit of a clean up as getting a bit irked looking at the “X” logo and other Wahoo associated guff along with the ongoing obliteration of Our history.

So, to that end… I’ve finally managed to get the flogging station sorted with the artwork so all can see my badassness (after the ceiling collapsed and flooded), also have changed ALL my icons on ios, MacOS and Windows back to the original icons and colours of our Great Nation.

Also, using a wee sideloaded app to Strava, I now have pre-pended to all the workouts, the correct naming convention.

You want to De-SUF us… well, I am now De-Hooing you.

Well done! :clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3: It’s given me the heebie-jeebies to see that icon on my iOS devices. Must make the same changes.

DavM I’d like to ask if the SUF icon you have in the pic takes you to the Hoo platform like my current “X” icon does?

If it does, can you please explain how you managed to do that.

I too would like to retain the use of the X app but revert back to the SUF brand identity.

That is SUFing awesome! :smiling_imp:

I always get the Wahoo app and SYSTM app mixed up on my phone. This would be a brilliant way to fix that! (Among other things):upside_down_face:

I had to look this up… on the iPhone and iPad you can use the shortcuts app. Create a routine that opens up wahoo systm, then assign it a photo (SUF eyes for example), then place it on the Home Screen and hide the wahoo icon

Took me about 10 minutes of learning the shortcuts app, and finding a good photo - time well spent

Apologies for the Couchlandrian timing of my reply… but yeah the ‘shortcuts’ app on iOS will do this.

And dragging a new icon into the ‘get info’ window on MacOs will do it too.

For the Strava uploads, I use an app called ActivityFix. You can create rules on what to change and when.

It can also change historic activities so all references to Wahoo can be removed from your Strava history if you so wish. I did.

This might be mutinous but mutinys are usually only carried out as a last resort !

Thanks for the idea! This is brilliant.

With invaluable guidance from DavM I was successful in creating a Shortcut on my iPhone that takes me to my SYSTM app.

I love it because it makes the Wahoo X icon unnecessary and this way I feel more connected to the heritage of the Sufferlandrian civilization I identify with.

DavM is the “Shortcut Whisperer”.

This thread has made me laugh. Along with the alternate SUF tour which is super tough. It is such a shame that there used to be the great eco system around SUF and it seems to be ignored. I am riding the tour but I have to say today’s Ian Boswell was a dull dull video. I like pushing myself not watching some chap chop down a tree - and he didn’t even use an axe or haul the logs himself.

I think Wahoo have seriously missed a trick in not making more of SUF - the videos are miles better than anything else out there, I don’t want computer avatars or to ace other people I just like immersing myself working hard and sweating.

Quick question - I did enjoy the low cadence power intervals and know they are good for me - I need to prep for a 14km climb at 7% so is there a video that woudl give me low cadence power for that kind of duration?

G. O. A. T. and Power Station would fit the bill. Also try The Way Out.

Edit: Mind you, these are shorter interval sessions than a 14 km climb.

Other than those mentioned, you could always take an FTP or map session and drop the target RPM by 20-30.
