With a new Daily Recommended Workouts feature, the Wahoo Training delivers personalized workout suggestions tailored to your needs. Whether you have 20 minutes or an hour, you’ll get a workout designed to keep you progressing without overreaching.
New Workouts. More Motivation. Maximum Engagement.
In addition to an expansive library of cycling, running, yoga and strength workouts, we’ve added more bucket-list rides to Wahoo SYSTM’s “On Location” workouts. Crafted to inspire and entertain while you train.
New homepage and history lets you take full control of your training data. Manually add missed sessions. Seamlessly import workouts from platforms like Zwift, Strava, TrainingPeaks, and Humango. Keep all your training in one place and get a complete view of your progress, no matter where or how you train. Ensure your recommended workouts are completely informed.
@Rupert.H Looks great, but the link in the post doesn’t work if the main Wahoo site is set to Germany. If I set my location to USA, then the link works ok.
Sure looks further like all features are moving into one app soon, given the screenshots in the daily workout explainer shows a route button for the Wahoo App
One issue is it only sees what you have done on the Wahoo/Systm. There was a workout recommendation that said: You’ve done fewer than two hard workouts this week. Here’s a harder one.
That is not the case. I have done hard workouts this week, just not on this platform. So useless from that perspective.
@Critmark The other part of the announcement was that we can now upload .fit files so you can upload your Garmin fit files to get a full perspective of your activity and then get a suggested workout.
Look at History Beta tab and select the + sign at the top left. It looks like only a manual entry can be done in SYSTM but in the Wahoo app on the same screen it supports both manual entry and also fit file upload.
Below is a screen shot showing an ab workout that I recorded with my Suunto watch. Also there is a screen shot of the history beta page after selecting the + sign.
Thanks for this but apparently there is no real intelligence behind it.
I did a 10 minute warm-up here and then jumped over to TrainingPeaks to do a IndieVelo ride. Unfortunately i couldn’t get logged in so I came back here to add a workout. The message was: You’ve already done a workout today. We’ll keep it easy.
The recommendation was NOT a ride but instead I. Boswell 2: Morning Routine
So after my totally exhausting 10 minute warm-up ride this was what they suggested. This is a joke.
@Rupert.H the posts suggests these updates are available in SYSTM and the Wahoo app, but that appears not to be the case. At least not entirely. The option to upload a fit file is not available to me in SYSTM, nor am I am to update training preferences.
I have managed to upload a fit file but I have had to download it on my PC (as I can’t seem to download from the Garmin or Strava mobile apps), email it to myself (as SYSTM doesn’t have the upload option and there is no wahoo app for windows), download load on my iPhone then upload into the wahoo iOS app.
Also just recorded a quick test ride in Strava to see if it would come across to my history in wahoo, it didn’t.
Really keen for these features and think they are a great update but sadly don’t seem to be working for me. Not sure if I am doing something wrong.
Yeh similar. Mine said that I should do an easier ride today as I did a hard ride yesterday (team scream last night and a z2/3 ride in the morning). Suggested rides were GOAT and a micro intervals ride with an IF of 0.95. Stuck to my original plan and did getting away with it.
I’ll start by saying that overall this is great progress. The “AI” part will be interesting. I tried out HumanGo after the notification in SYSTM about the partnership. Their app is almost unusable imo so if the knowledge is bought into SYSTM with a more useful interface, great.
The most obvious thing I can see right now, is that some of my off-SYSTM rides have imported from Strava, but anything non-cycling i.e. running, appears to be missing. So if the AI is looking at your history for what sort of load to suggest, mine is going to be way off.
I’m on a plan right now so am not getting the suggestions, so can’t comment on exactly how that works for me yet.
@sir_james.p The apps are inter-connected so you can upload any of your activities on the Wahoo app and they will then be visible on your SYSTM calendar.
Hi @Rupert.H thanks for replying. Yes, I get that they are interconnected, the issue is that uploading is a convoluted process, as I can only extract the Fit file from either Garmin or Strava websites, hence on my PC not the apps on my phone, but can only upload a fit file via my phone as there isn’t a wahoo app for windows. Or am I missing something, is there a way to upload to wahoo on my PC?
On the Starva permissions, yes, I re-authenticated
From what I can make out, you set it up in the Wahoo app and once done any recommendations (if you haven’t got any workouts planned for two days) will show in your system calendar so you can do them from there in ios, android or Windows. Unless I am reading it wrong??
