ELEMNT app Google Fit blocked

I am using an Wahoo Roam V2 and sync it with the ELEMNT app on Android 16 (latest app updates, latest OS updates installed).
For a while now, when I start the ELEMNT app, I am greeted with the attached warnings:
“Action required . One of your connected apps needs to be reauthorized. Please re-enter your log credentials by following the link below and selecting the app with the error icon.”

When I click on “REAUTHORIZE APP” it shows that Google Fit is the issue, Strava and Komoot sync just fine. When I click on Google Fit, it displays the second warning:
“This app is blocked - This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. TO keep your account safe, Google blocked this access”.

I have already reinstalled the ELEMNT app, deleted the ELEMNT app from Google Fit > Manage connected apps.
No matter what I do, it does not sync.
Is there an issue with the ELEMNT app? What else can I do?
I appreciate any help.

This has been reported many times. I can´t believe that a company like Wahoo is not taking care of this. Last update of the Android App was July 2024, and this problem has been there since 2022. This is really not state of the art, updating to the new Google Health platform should not be a big issue.

What will happen if Strava or other apps update their API clients for security reasons? Will Wahoo customers have to wait for years too until this is taken care of?

Same here but https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.appyhapps.healthsync did the trick

Having this everytime I start the app, is there no way to resolve this? spoke with support and they are no help at all?
