Assuming you can find it on your device manually upload the .FIT file to whereever you want it to be. Unfortunately I’m finding the files are corrupt and won’t upload. Luckily I have a Garmin 810 to use as back up. It’s not as good but Wahoo is useless for navigation until the firmware update is released.

So weird. I am not having any of the navigation issues. All I’m having is the date issue. I’m also not losing any of my sensors. My husband loses the speed on his.

Received an email from Wahoo support at 6:58 pm EDT saying that firmware updates for the BOLT 1 and ROAM 1 computers have been released (I guess ELEMNT users will have to wait a bit longer). I’ve installed the update on my ROAM 1 and everything seems fine. Notably, the main page now displays as I had modified it and does not show the default fields that I observed on a ride this morning.
Heading off for a week of cycling with friends starting Monday, so I’ll be able to check out whether the navigation function is back on track.
In case you don’t know how, the firmware update is easy to do. Just turn on your BOLT or ROAM while it is in Bluetooth range of a mobile phone with the ELEMNT app and that is connected to WiFi. The update should start shortly after the BOLT or ROAM has finished its startup sequence.

Can confirm update has been rock solid on my Bolt V1 for a few hours this morning and reporting correct date again

My Wahoo Elemnt is doing exactly the same. make the unit completely useless. Speed drops in and out. time one hour out and data records in 2006.

A fix for the original ELEMNT is still under development.

I got the update on my ELEMNT ROAM v1 this morning and went for a 80km ride. The Roam worked perfectly! Thanks, guys, for your great support on a (very) old device! It’s highly appreciated and I will remember Wahoo when buying my next device.

Will test the firmware release tomorrow but the time has been corrected so looking good! Well done to the people at Wahoo. I had been using my old Garmin 810 which has reminded me why I switched. The screen clare and hard to follow navigation. Yuk!
