Just tested Giro d’Italia Donne today. Very tough. And the attacks at the end… o ya my computer died with 5 mins to go!! Glad I did a trial before the TOS
SPOILER ALERT!!!
I find that the pro rides really hold my attention and the time does go by quickly, even for the two hour rides. I really hope to see more of these in the future.
I’ve done them all, finished the last one on Saturday. Hammer Climb I stopped after an hour, unable to keep going. They are hard but mostly doable. I’ll be trying Hammer Climb again after the tour.
I rode Hammer Climb for the first time the other day. Or rather I attempted to. It was damned difficult and I have never had to stop so many times during any other Sufferfest ride.
Dial down the intensity a bit (say 10-20%) for the AC, MAP and NM efforts and leave the FTP the same. This makes the ProRides sessions way more manageable when you’re not looking for that full race experience while still giving a great workout.
Funnily enough that more or less what I did. I turned down MAP 5%, AC 10% and NM 15%. That felt hard but mostly possible.
