Indoor Route Simulations in the Wahoo App

There certainly was. I had it (although never used it) until an update that killed support for Intel-based Macs. I think you have to go via the Wahoo website rather than the App Store app.

Hi. There hasn’t been one that I can think of.

There was a MacOS SYSTM (and probably still is) but not the Wahoo app to the best of my knowledge.

Reading @Martin 's post makes me realise I had a brainfart earlier - it was of course the Systm OS app I was talking about. D’oh!

Looks interesting. Reading the page linked in the first post - am I right in assuming that this will only work with a Wahoo trainer? i.e. My Tacx isn’t going to play nicely with it?

I do miss the magic roads feature of RGT!

No - this apparently works with any supported smart trainer according to Sir @Rupert

I noticed that Wahoo added a few more Wahoo Favorite Routes in their list, including two On Location routes.

I did a virtual simulation route this morning, and the session now shows up as a Virtual Ride in Strava, with the map and evelavion displayed… Thank you to the Wahoo dev team!

I hope I’m missing something. I tried riding a route in the wahoo app. I was hoping for a first person view in the map page. Instead my marker moved on an overhead map. I was able to tilt it, but gave up when the map didn’t move with my location.

I always use the « elevation » view, so I’ve not experienced this first hand. However, I remember seeing something about the map view still being in beta, so one can hope this will be fixed soon.

I checked this out this morning, and as long as I did not fiddle around with the map display, the map moved along with my position… If I changed something on the map, this no longer worked, but switching back and forth between screen pages fixed it.
I do not know but I somehow doubt that Wahoo would add a first person view…
