Join the Sufferlandrian National Team for the 2025 Wahoolimabob Tour!

You’re right, there’s a million different ways to make the tour harder. I have no problem with the level of difficulty, it’s great to attract more people to join in, raise money for DPF and train.

I’m disappointed with the dismantling of Sufferlandria, and if it goes completely and this gets Wahoo more subscribers and they thrive as a business then it would be the right decision.

I’m here as I’m a Sufferlandrian, and SYSTM is still the best training platform for my needs If I was new to indoor training and was looking for a platform, I wouldn’t consider SYSTM due to the hooligan references. I know at least 3 people in person who use Zwift and wont consider SYSTM for the same reason.

My loss perhaps and yes, I’m a grumpy old git. I’m sure Wahoo know what they’re doing and I’m in the minority. I’m fine with that too.

I guess that’s a long winded way of saying: Whatever, I don’t really care. But I guess I do, else I wouldn’t have written anything :man_shrugging: :grinning:

I hear you.
I was suffering in the Sir David days and have the first vids in glorious, gritty DVD. I also had the privilege of testing Power Station - still my favourite, and some of the app features.
My grade school teacher would say “bad things happen when you don’t spell things correctly…” SYSTM and other vowel-deprived products may bear that out.
Still. I’ve devoted more than a decade to this.
I still appreciate the videos and the training format, although it isn’t the only platform I use. I also appreciate very much what Wahoo has brought to indoor and outdoor cycling. They have revolutionized it. We’re a long way from the original ergo bikes!
Everything changes. You are right, the lore of Sufferlandria lives on in our hearts, but will not resonate with the newbies.
I tend to ride things out to the end. This end of an era is bittersweet. Grunter’s words will always be on my mind.

I was whining the other day here in Denver when we were forecast to reach about -25 C wind chill.

Thank you for creating the Team and Motivation my trusty inmates, roomies or whatever.
I finally joined the Tour of Sufferlandria!

My preparation is working out perfectly! I improved my numbers and now I am sick for a few days and some added enjoyment at the Tour. But at least I had some really awesome ski days this winter with my family! And better sick now than for the Tour.

I messed up and registered first and then wanted to join the Sufferlandrian National Team. Can you tell me if I can still do that, and if so, how?

Don’t hold last night’s hockey game against me.

Oh dear,

As to your request, Sir @Medina81, easy peas:

How do I join a team after I have registered for the Tour?

  • Log in to your participant center
  • click the Profile tab
  • click the Event Options tab
  • select the Join a Team bubble
  • use the search tool to find your team, type Sufferlandria and that should be enough.
  • Click Join Team in the search results.

If that doesnt work, a quick email to DPF will get you sorted quick
