Used a mirror on my helmet for awhile, was too delicate and broke from a minor bump, if I remember right. Got a replacement mount but it also broke in normal use/adjustment, and I gave up on it. Used a bar mount mirror for a long time before that, it was better in some ways, but also tended to be in the way of things transporting the bike, etc.
I would like a mirror of some type in ADDITION to the radar for additional info, including things the radar cannot report, but I haven’t seen a mirror setup I want to bother with again. The little ones placed on the inner edge of sunglasses seems like a decent idea, but then I’d always be cleaning around it, would have to have extras for extra pairs, and it probably would be trashed/non-transferable if the lenses were trashed or damaged.
Nothing’s perfect…

I use this one, and it’s lasted a good 5 years of abuse, including daily commuting in every weather. Works well, good range of vision, and it’s possible to set so you don’t have to move your head hardly at all to see behind you. I’ve tried handlebar ones, but don’t recommend them for road bikes…you’re changing position too much.
I just have to be gentle about setting my helmet down to avoid bending the mirror out of position and needing to reset it. The arm also pops off with a bit of effort if you want to remove it but not fully.
I guess I need to be more selective with my workouts, now. I rode The Last Rider which was really good, but there were no elevation changes. Funny how quickly your perception changes even after just a week with a new toy.

Rupert posted somewhere about which rides have gradient encoded and iirc the Inspiration rides dont (save maybe one)
Edit. Found it. Workouts and Gradient integrations

Yep. I just had it in my head when I woke up this morning that I would ride that workout (probably because I just finished listening to the “Slaying The Badger” audiobook). Only after starting did I think about whether it had any Climb gradients. But was too late then.

My Climb has arrived yesterday and I‘ve tried it out today. Great to feel the mountains at home!
