Yesterday the exchange unit arrived. It does look like it’s a refurbed one. As long as it’s working, I don’t mind. On the other hand, having purchased a brand new one that died after just two weeks, getting a replacement that is not as new doesn’t feel entirely right. Especially when noticing that the little black plastic cap from the middle of the flywheel has come undone already in the box, and a second time during setup (and why is it just loosely stuck in there in the first place? 
)
I noticed a slight rubbing of the sliding mechanism the former unit didn’t have. However, I only noticed it when setting up the unit and moving it back and forth by hand.
So until now I can only tell about a good CS experience. What I can tell about the Kickr, remains to be seen.
