NEW Inspiration Films

Hey everyone :woman_biking:

I’m excited to share that we’ve just released a new collection of inspiration films in Wahoo SYSTM, all built to pair perfectly with endurance rides.

These sessions are designed for those longer, steadier efforts where aerobic fitness is the goal—and staying mentally engaged really matters.

:clapper_board: Newly released Inspiration Rides

Whether you’re building base, topping up volume, or just looking for something motivating to ride along with, these are ready to go now in SYSTM. We have also updated our training plans to include these new workouts.

As always, settle in and do the work :blue_heart:

Nice!

If Wahoo is now licensing GCN content, it’d be good to get one or two of their longer paywalled documentaries. The two above are good, but freely available on YouTube.

Still, this is definitely the time of year when we need a drop of Zone 2 workouts with video and I look forward to checking out the EF one in particular.

Thanks for more recovery-day material! I will almost certainly only ride each only once, but these are great for days I don’t even have the energy to pick out a video, music or podcast to listen to while moving my feet.

Or better still, reinstate the old GCN training videos. I liked them.

Thank you! Looking forward to these.

Will all of the current Inspiration films remain on the platform? Want to make sure I ride any that are in my queue before they disappear.

I second all the “thank yous”! Always enjoy new content!

Good that there are new inspiration videos BUT as for these being for “longer steadier efforts”, how can that be when none of them are over an hour ?

@Rupert Will these new rides be added to the Inspiration Badge?

I just glue 2 (or 3) together. Little bit of an inconvenience, but generally anything over about 45 minutes doesn’t really hold my attention anyway. Have tried to get through “A Sunday in Hell” but it is… hell. “The Last Rider” is the one long one that I enjoy(ed).

Is anyone else having trouble downloading some of these? Amani and the new EF ride will not download for me. I am trying to download them to a PC.

This is one of the videos I can’t download. There are a few of the recent releases that I can’t download.

This last video doesn’t seem to be uploaded into the app yet

Did EF explore 2025 and Team Amani 2025 yesterday and afraid to say I found them dull. No disrespect to the athletes featured in them, they are amazing and interesting people, unfortunately I just don’t feel the videos tapped into that. They are not documentaries but each session is rather a collection of short films, bookended together to make a longer video. They heavily featured wahoo product placement and at times felt like a wahoo advert. I’m guessing it was short form content created to put out on social media sponsored by wahoo and it’s been recycled to make some SYSTM workouts. None of them really said a lot or gave any insight.

I found the Leadville 100, David Roche video more interesting, as an actual full length documentary it went deeper into the story.

The thing is though it doesn’t matter. After a while I turned the team Amani video off, and watched something else. And that’s the thing, there is loads of inspirational content on the internet, much of it free from the likes of YouTube or TV iPlayers, so I’m never short of something to watch whilst doing Z2. I don’t need that from wahoo. Even the ones I do watch and enjoy, I only watch once, with the very rare exception.

I’d rather the time and effort was spent elsewhere. The new metrics are great, really useful feature and a big plus over other platforms. I enjoy the OL videos and on occasion pro-rides, great additions/expansions (Team scream is the original pro ride, and Mike Cotty SUF videos, the original OL) wahoo have made since acquiring the platform. Most of all though it’s still the Sufferfest content that keeps me here and we haven’t had anything new there for a while (as much as I like OL I also would rather SUF videos weren’t changed into OL videos).

In summary something to watch whilst doing z2 is nice, but it needs to be decent actual documentaries, not short films about wahoo backed athlete, and it’s not a feature that influences whether I stay with the platform, and if it’s a choice, I think time and money would be better spent on other content. That’s my view anyway.

So.. the Team Amani Migration Gravel video is still not up on the platform.. or is it just me?

No, I can’t see that one either.

Absolutely agreee Sir… they are trotting out this guff and passing it off as “new content”

Feels like a metrics box ticking exercise.. You can imagine the meetings… “Well, yeah this month we’ve provided x amount of new vids, big pat on the back all round”

No updates to the app in years, but plenty of insipid films about wahoo.. no thanks.

I won’t be re-subbing when it runs out this year.

Yeh, it does feel that way.

What I will say for wahoo though is that they have done some decent work on the app. The new fitness metrics are very good and has come with good comms around it. It’s great for outdoor riding too, so helps tie all your training together.

It’s just content development that seems to be stagnant and, for me, it’s good content that is the key differentiator between SYSTM and trainer road.
