Official Tour of Sufferlandria 2022 Route Discussion Thread

Well I am choosing Focussed. Think I did GMTI before.
Nuclear would,be impossible,I am 70, and recovery rate is no good enough

Great to hear from you. Doing the best we can, like everyone else these days. Got a puppy, that’s keeping life interesting. Hope all is well with you. Been creeping on you on IG, things are looking good!

Not a joke, but rather the bane of my existence. It’s part of the Fourier transform, which I use to examine the nuclear spin of protons in a magnetic field. It’s appropriate, I think, because it’s imaginary and deals with spins, much like the ToS.

In and out of phase are important, too. So you’re on the right incomprehensible track.

Oh, well that explains it then.

@Diana I had figured you were doing some sort of operation relating to the cumulative radians of pedal rotation over the course of the tour. Not quite, but kinda sorta related.

This will be ToS #2 for me…not gonna lie, I must’ve been oblivious last year just starting out, because watching the route announcements (and @Glen.Coutts epic beard) was @#$% intimidating this go 'round.

Wow. The fact that I was looking at all the mid-week stages and thought “oh well only one workout…that’ll be good for recovery”. There’s something broken in me!

Final stage looks abysmal. Though yay Cash Register to close it out! Much hands in the air a la Davis Phinney. Very excited about DS - definitely wanted some legend stages for the 10th Anniversary ToS. Was hoping for The Hunted and or Local Hero too, but I’ll take it. Getting to debut Norway last Tour was a highlight, so “looking forward” to The Model.

Finally I’m stoked about having a Pro Ride for stage 1 (prologue?) I’ve always considered PR to be Sufferlandrian - heck Norway was morphed into a Pro Ride after the SYSTM transition! And GdI Donne, which I’ve not done. More #girlsonbikes!

Now just need to draft the bib and pick out my Beers of the Tour of Sufferlandria…but yeah, nuclear option isn’t happening.

Lol! I should change my YouTube/Google Profile pic. I miss my beard but I’d miss my wife more if I grew it back. She’d leave me. And I’m not kidding. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This Tour looks tough AF. I’m sooooo glad that Downward Spiral made it for this 10th Anniversary (though I won’t be saying that while I’m riding it after the Yak &$#% that comes before it) and, oddly, am looking forward to Stage 7.

Oh yeah! Here we go! Eh @GJStache53 !

I’m sorry, seeing a lot of bib numbers popping up. Was there a template published that I missed, or are we freelancing?

Links to the race bibs here. I had to go hunting through the Wahoo site to find this, not seen anything posted by the minions

Unnastood!

Ha! After each stage the next stage always looks worse than it did the day before. By day 5 you just hope you can see clear enough to pick the right workout for days 6 & 7. IWBMATTKYT!!
