Two more down. My body is tired. When my watch alarm woke me up this morning I was confused and thought it was Sunday and was initially annoyed I hadn’t turned my alarm off last night. My back was sore and I was also lying on my right arm which was also asleep so I could barely move and had to fumble around to turn my alarm off with my nose. As I turned it off and started to relax I realized today was not Sunday and I needed to get up and ride. the Omnium. Twice. I’m not sure which was harder. Getting out of bed this morning, or riding The Omnium. Even at 80% and 75%, every MAP and especially the AC efforts (i.e. every sprint, and the kilo) were very… uncomfortable.
Defender for Dan last February last was mine, born out of random conversations from this forum. Riding first in memory of Sir Dan, and then in memory of my dad is a powerful memory that will live in a special part of my soul and my heart forever.
Last April and this April were Tour shenanigans and I blame Grunter. Both times the ride(s) of choice were determined by the donor who pushed my total TDPF fundraising total over my goal. Last year it was @jesawdy and this year it was @Heretic. Based on this premise, there’s no planning ahead on my part. That doesn’t mean a bunch of you aren’t conspiring to make me ride The Shovel every day in April next year, tho… Not that I want to give you any ideas.
that’s just a technicality, FFS. Full Frontal’s Sake Speaking of Full Frontal, there really is no better workout to hit the 4 D’s in the entire catalogue.
I don’t hate ANYONE in the world enough to make them do this! If for whatever God forsaken reason this happens, I will be first in line to petition NATO for war crimes violating the Geneva Convention.
I checked. Sufferlandria is not a signatory to NATO. In fact, I can’t find where Sufferlandria has signed on to ANY global human rights treaties or charters…
Correct. Actually, the UN, around the Sufferlandrian National Day on October 29th, 2008, took such an issue with our motto and all it represents, they passed a stoooopid resolution. They clearly don’t hold any sway around these parts. Bunch of Couchlandrians.
Also, fyi, all Knights are Knights. We just refer to each other as Sirs or Dames depending on our preference. It’s a common point of some confusion as unlike the familiar British system, there is no Damehood.
