:rotating_light: :stop_sign: You don’t put your bike upside down! Velominati Rule #49! :stop_sign: :rotating_light:

Aw, man. Now I’ll never be in the cool kids’ club.

To put a bicycle upside down while repairing it, could possibly damage the bicycle.

At least it looks like you’re trying to hide your shameful behaviour behind a barrier of some sort.

Weird thing is the only punctures I had in 2020 was when the bike was on my (wheel on) Tacx Flow! Happened three times for reasons I still can’t fully fathom.

It’s that awkward conundrum between not putting the bike upside down to not damage it and not resting the bike on the rear derailleur not to damage it.

I actually went down a rabbit hole on this subject today, and there appears to be no consensus. Since my bike is made of steel and not cotton candy, I’m confident it will be fine.

Not sure where to put this, but this thread seems right:

I think we can learn a lot from the kid on the right.

Norfolk fields are mostly full of rapeseed at the moment. Very pretty!

Next time I’ll make sure a bike is included in the photo!

Velomanati rules are rubbish. All made up anyway.

Managed to include my bike this time.

Cannock. England.
20 mins later I got out of shape on a jump. Lost my line. Hit a tree stump. Over the bars. Managed to pause my garmin with my groin!!!

All ok though!!

Great fun!
