Should Komoot work with the Wahoo Fitness app?

I wanted to try a route on my bolt, sounds kinda fun!

  1. I created a Komoot account - check
  2. I created a route in Komoot - check
  3. I logged out of Komoot and logged back in to make sure my route was still there - check
  4. I fired up WFA on Android. Clicked “Plan” on bottom. Clicked “My routes” under “My Collection”. - check
  5. I clicked the + sign in the upper right to add a route. I clicked “Authorized App”, clicked Komoot, logged into it, all looks hunky dory. There is green text under Komoot that says “Authorized” - check.
  6. I look at “My Routes” and there are none. - fail

It seems that I did everything to make the softwares happy. Has anyone else linked Komoot and WFA successfully and if so is there something else I need to do?

You need to authorise Komoot in ELEMNT as well. You may then find that your route is duplicated but any you subsequently create shouldn’t be (based on my own faffing about with the Wahoo apps and Strava today).

I was wrong about newly created routes not duplicating in ELEMNT (and therefore on my Roam). Annoying.

Not sure what the issue could be, but if you’re just trying to use Komoot to plan routes that then sync to your head unit through the Wahoo app - I do that all the time using a Roam1.

I have Komoot as an authorized app in Element app, and Wahoo Fitness as an authorized connection in Komoot. Works fine for me?

Anyone not using an Ace (or presumably the new Bolt and Roam) still has to use ELEMNT for route syncing don’t they? I think that’s what the OP had missed.

Do you not have the duplicate routes issue? I messaged support about it and the reply said they were aware of it but that there was currently no workaround.
