Enjoy your CX Sir Rich!
While you are missed on every ride (especially downhill
) we are going nowhere, so still plenty of Rides to come.
Looking forward to you riding with you then!
Crush your CX and make your opponents suffer!

Today giggle!
I might have forgotten yesterday though… ![]()
That was why I had to sneeze so many times yesterday Sir! You need a home with less stairs.. ![]()
Ride with you soon again!
Super fun! Looks like my L4 and L5 slippage. But strong core and relaxed hip flexors will stabilize. Wear and tear and improper lifting over the years, if only knew back then to avoid dumb stuff, but going forward empowered.

This day is our day Knights and Citizens of Sufferlandria!
Forged in Misery, welded in Pain and tempered in Agony.
Join us to celebrate our Nation together and shed Holy Water!
Honour! Glory! Victory!

This ride is a banded group ride. Please bring your own Kitchen Sink if you wish to have the unaltered experience. For the badge be sure to dual record and set Systm as primary.
Or feel free to join without the workout and command your personal “celebration” – everyone is welcome.
As this will be very long ride we will start 25 minutes earlier. Late joining is possible (30 minutes). So feel free to join at the normal time and start your workout then.
This ride will be long enough to finish even then. (Who said we will do just one round?)
Hi…… can Someone link to an explanation of this please..?
Is there a few short points/how to?
Hi Sir Isa, there’s an explanation in this thread beginning with info from Sir CPT_A and some others, beginning on February 13, that I found helpful last winter.
Thank you guys! Much appreciated.
Have to cancel my participation in the Zwift ride.
Opera Tickets at 7 p.m. Thus I will start earlier in the day and probably end up sleeping through the entire piece ![]()
Have a good ride everyone.
Which opera are you going to see? There’s always some suffering involved in those pieces too!
When I was little, after church on Sunday morning it was Mom’s turn to control the music we listened to. Plenty of symphonies and operas. She trained me well and I have to thank her for having an appreciation for a wide number of musical genres.
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, there was a movie following that story „the birdcage“ with Robin Williams. So not a classic like Carmen, but after three hours of suffering something light and cheerful.
Enjoy! I’m a bit jealous. Nearest opera house to my is a three hour drive.
Good thing I Also have a collection of vinyl etc to tide me over ![]()
I am a real sucker for La Traviata.
thanks for the ride today. It was gloooorious suffering! ![]()
It was also the first time I had success with dual recording.
If it’s helpfull for any, here’s my setup.
I have a Tacx Flux 2 trainer, which doesn’t support more than one bluetooth connection, so I use both ANT+ and Bluetooth connection.
I set up zwift on my PC using the ANT+ connection. I select my trainer as Power source, and not trainer mode. This makes sure it only read power through the ANT+.
Me cadence and heart rate monitor is also connected using ANT+.
I have bluetooth switched complete off on my PC.
I set up SYSTM on my tablet using the Bluetooth.
Here I just do as I usually would when doing a SYSTM workout.
I think it has some to do with the trainer we are using, so check what it is capable off.
I missed plugging in my ant stick this morning.. . Doh!
It is really crazy and hectic for me still this year so no surprise I missed something so simple.
Next ride…
Was a great show. Great singing, great acting. I am in the luxurious situation, that our opera house is 15 min away by bike (7 min with the road bike).
Dear dames and sirs, also enjoyed todays ride, though Kitchensink still to be done tomorrow. I wanted to stick to the group for a while after my „Primers“ on wahoo x ended. As soon as I hit the „finish workout“ button in Wahoo X, I came to a halt in Zwift, although still pedaling, but the bike tilting to the 9% gradient. Still haven‘t managed to properly reconnect the trainer (Kicker Bike V2). This dual recording thing is a suffering-dimension for itself.
A bit belatedly let me tell you about the glorious ride 12 able and relentlessly motivated Knights and Citizens set out this glorious SUF Day.
As fitting for the occasion we formed the ride with Sir @emacdoug already halfway done with the Kitchen Sink. He, a true and worthy pillar of the knightly spirit guided us on our way into the misery and agony that was promised for this day.
(Picture: Sir Medina)
It was a ride of 3 hours 25 minutes (everyone likes a bonus interval!) spanning more than 70k and more than 1350m of elevation.
Two long climbs, one with Radio Tower as cherry on top, and no less than 3 sprints (counting the finishing line) were on the menu.
It would not have been a complete Knight Ride without a great Trademark TT of Sir @montgoma.
With chatter and jokes (sometimes with ruined punch lines), a recorded Sip with splendid few on a steep downhill for Sir @Medina81 the time didn’t feel like more than 3 hours. It were more the legs that told that story, than the mind. And a Sufferlandrians mind is stronger.
The competition at the first sprint was tough. While about the half were dual recording the rest had this special celebration to the first line.
And while the minions had earlier messed with Sir Evans and @TakoGonzales Settings they even showed their kind sides later in the ride, throwing feathers all around.
Of course we made up for that and reported to the nearest Flogging Station.
After all of those who were running KS dual recording had finished, the vanguard was sent out to complete the route and go for the whole distance.
This last stretch, about 20 minutes to go really felt longer. Steadfastly and stubborn Sir Alan, Sir James @jmckenzieKOS, Citizen Malzbier and I where finishing this very long ride.
And there were still two sprints. Of course we had to go for these.
Thank you Sir Alan @montgoma for the glorious sprint to the line that marked the end of this very special ride. It was simply the fitting way to conclude a perfect afternoon/morning of suffering in the best company you can wish for.
Thank you all for the ride and hope to see you next week when it is time again for the Knight Rides!
Grunter von Agony was really pleased about all the Misery and Agony on the Sufferlandrian National Day. So all Knights and Citizens have been invited to his personal Retreat and Spa for a nice and relaxing Paincation.
Naturally the famous meditation course where you are being the Stillness was booked out long in advance. So the Minions booked all newcomers to the not much less popular workshop where you practice the perfect Painface instead.
What better way is there after all to to become one with your inner Sufferlandrian than with 5 roaring Sprints on a spicy and sharp route under a tropical sky?
Everyone’s welcome, Knights and Citizens. Even if you forget your Painface at home and just join for the ride.
While this route is all about sprints we ride banded, so no one is left behind.
Guaranteed 100% GvA approved and Couchlandrian free.
The Knight Rides! are presented by the SUF Ministry of Tourism.
Board the Turbotrainer powered Airplane to your favourite Paincation Resort HERE!
(Daylight Saving time ended in Europe, please check your local time for the ride!)
Well, I wasn’t feeling so great today so I got the dual record going for the first time ever and put Soul Of a cyclist inspiration ride on to make sure I didn’t overdo it.
Given it was a struggle to just get through my day yesterday I’m very happy to have made it through the ride even though I am sorry I was sure not riding at all until my SYSTM ride ended. Glad to have had enough gas left to ride the last 6 kms of the ride “sort of properly”.
It’s quite hard to see anything or respond with Zwift on my phone, sorry I couldn’t respond to the chats.
Nice to see familiar names on there…I’ll try to catch another one ![]()
