2/10! Don’t think I could make it with those two in..
The 10 minute break is good to practice. I still catch myself rushing to beat the clock when I take break at any time.

Leave it to the Knights! When there is a crisis or a unsurmountable obstacle, they will head the call of a Quest to restore the natural order in Sufferlandria again.
Fitting to the most troublesome distress of the Company a very strong and highly motivated group of 14 Knights and Citizens headed out to find the missing vowels.
To accomplish that feat our Quest was taking place in Roundabouts all over France with no less than 10 Sprints and one KOM-Sprint. So while the route was almost flat and over 50k the sprints came fast, wreaking havoc to the peloton (and the legs).
Also we alleviated the danger of Sir @emacdoug falling prey to the TTBS, as he was preparing diligently for his personal and thoroughly astounding sixth Knighthood Quest by keeping him company and messing up his perfectly good Z2 session with tons of sprints.
After each sprint we donated the appearing vowels generously to store them for later recycling and to preserve the treasure of our Quest.
Whenever we got our breath back from sprinting it was happy chattering and deepening our knowledge of the inner workings of the world. So it was naturally that we discovered, that the german car makers are to blame for the scarcity of vowels - they simply took most of them. The Company never had a chance. But fret no more, here we were donating richly again after the next sprint.
It was today that Sir Ruben worked out how to perfect his sprint in the peloton. So while Citizen @Chris_Wright was not there on this Quest, it was he who worked out a marvelous and dominating sprint that made the hearts race joyously as well by just seeing it.
Wile I cannot for sure say how many lines were crossed first by whom - it were too many to record it properly while sprinting each and every one - it was glorious!
As I had started out with some cramps even before the ride, which got surprisingly worse while sprinting all out very few minutes, I could happily find new and very special vowels to donate as well. And a few of my sprints I was pretty happy with still.
Here you can see glimpses of the best sprint of the day, that luckily had been captured. Can you spot Sir Rubens W/kg? In the peloton it looked even more impressive than those numbers already tell. He crushed this one like a lightning strike from back to front, a natural unstoppable dessaster.

It was great to have so many of the regular faces for this special ride, some semi regulars like Citizen @Brann_Mac_Finnchad and Dame @Isa. For the first time Sir @sir_james.p supported us in our Quest and for the first time this season even BBC had sent a additional valiant member to help out. Truly the Knight Rides Season is running strongly. If you think about joining, this is the time for a having a great time every Saturday!
Thunderous, all out and with laughter we crushed the last sprint after 1 hour and 45 minutes completing the Quest we had set out to fulfill.
After carefully cleansing all the slightly used vowels in the SUF-Bucket with Holy Water we marveled over the assorted spoils we had brought fourth. From this day on there shall be ample vowels for the Company to right the wrong naming of things and it shall now longer cower in fear of the german car makers.

And if there are so many completed names and this bucket of vowels runs out one day?
Fret not! The Knights stand ready to charge proudly out to gather new vowels all over the land again!
Honour, Glory, Victory!
How is your data shared to Wahoo? I’m not sure why I went this way(unintentional), but my Zwift is shared to Strava, which is then shared with wahoo (according to the share settings).
I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Fabulously entertaining write up as usual!
Thanks again for Hosting.
Those watts /kg are amazing! I enjoyed watching the rocket ships blast by. Until next time… ![]()
I think they are directly connected. Will check. Thanks.
Thought I was busy next week, but my DS has just informed me of a change of plans. She says that there are The Chores that need doing, and I best not skip them because Hell Hath no Fury, but some of that is walking the dog, which I enjoy, so Half is Easy. It’s is High Time I fixed the Blender though, so best not skip that one else I’ll Rue the Day. Anyway, in short, should be able to join again next week.
@sir_james.p I have both Zwift and Strava connected to SYSTM. So it’s being shared both directly from Zwift and also from Zwift to Strava to SYSTM (and then being de-dupes by SYSTM). But if you have both cadence and power you should get DtL. That looks like a bug if you’re not.
Likewise, so not sure why mines different. Looking again the SYSTM workout done in Zwift had now updated and has DTL, but yesterday’s Knight Ride doesn’t, but had power and cadence.
I’m gonna try this tomorrow, to see if it works for me. Would be neat if it does.
I got an excellent photo of Sir Rueben crushing us in great form. It looks like the more w/kg you put out in a sprint, the further forwards over the bars you go…compare the sprint position of the rest of us. I can’t find confirmation though.
Great photo!
Ha! That ought to be a poster.
Awesome share, awesome picture and find! It really seems that way. We shall research this in the next sprints properly.
Our sprints are so much fun, each one of them. Some Type 2… Can’t wait for the ride next week!
Terrific news Sir! Looking forward to riding with you next week as well!
Thanks for all the donations Dame Isa! Happy all technicals worked out well now and you can enjoy the rides with us!
The rumors that Grunter van Agony has gone soft are definitely just figments of Couchlandrian minds. On the other hand, the other rumor persists that there have been smiles and even laughter on the last Knight Rides. Maybe some of the participants had even fun while doing so?
There is an old Sufferlandrian proverb:
Where there is doubt
there is also a flogging station.
Therefore the call has been made:
Everyone to the Flogging Station Nr. 6 and rectify any failings that might have happened.
Everyone’s welcome, Knights, Citizens and friends, especially BBC. Even if you haven’t smiled for a decade and just join for the ride.
While this route is all about misery, agony and pain we ride banded, so no one is left behind.
Guaranteed 100% GvA approved and Couchlandrian free.
The Knight Rides! are presented by the SUF Ministry of Education and Corrections.
Join your reserved spot at the Flogging Station Nr. 6 HERE!

My plan again has 2 hrs z2 in for Saturday. Well I say z2, it has open 120 in the calendar. My interpretation of ‘open’ is get on your bike and do what you want. Now given the open rides exist from Sufferfest times, the creators will have known full well that a Sufferlandrian will therefore interpret open 120, as suffer for two hours, so hard until your eyes bleed. So I must trust the plan, after all, who am I to question GvA…..
More than you.
This sounds like a perfectly well thought out plan Sir!
On the other hand, do Sufferlandrians have more than two zones?
Z1: Too slow, couchlandrian
Z2: Yeesssssss…..aaaargh
This ride sadly has not so many sprints, but as both last two weeks had so many of them (18!), there weren’t many left it seems for this route. We still have two sprints, on up front and then one to the line. Of course there is this delicious little climb in the middle with a sprint on top as well…
In one or two weeks latest, there will be more sprints again on the rides, because my dark sprinter heart cannot go on too long without those. ![]()
Looking forward to the ride already and seeing you there!
You make an excellent point sir. Z2 it is!
