Training plan for outdoor rides using HRM and cadence (no Power Meter)

I am a new SYSTM user and I need some advice on a specific issue.

I am trying to use a SYSTM training plan for my outdoor rides, but my bicycle does not have a power meter. I use a heart rate monitor and a cadence sensor, which I connect to my Wahoo BOLT 2 bike computer.

My goal is to follow a structured plan that I can do on specific days of the week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday). I have seen the option to use “outdoor mode” for workouts, but I am unsure how to best translate the power-based intervals to heart rate zones and cadence targets.

Could you please provide some guidance on the following:

  • How do you approach a SYSTM workout without a power meter?
  • How can I effectively use my heart rate and cadence data to stay within the intended intensity zones?
  • Is there a way to set up the plan for specific days of the week?

Any tips or examples of how others have successfully done this would be greatly appreciated.
