The year’s almost over — and this is your final stage.
December is where Wahooligans dig deep, light the jets, and leave nothing behind. “End Game” isn’t about pacing… it’s about pushing. It’s the final sprint, the last big effort, and your chance to close out 2025 with full-gas glory.
This month, we’re going out in style — with a mini race tour of four legendary SYSTM workouts designed to test your power, control, and courage under pressure.
You’ve built the base. Now it’s time to burn what’s left in the tank.
The 4 Workouts
Cygnet Coast
Smooth power, tactical patience, and the confidence to hold your line when it matters.
Attacker
Go off the front, stay away, and feel what it’s like to race on instinct and guts.
Tour de Suisse Women – Stage 2
Elevation, speed, and resilience — the perfect stage to empty the tank and finish the year in style.
The Wretched
Relentless efforts, surges, and that glorious moment when you refuse to give in.

Great set. These four are not for the fainthearted! I haven’t done very many of the pro rides… but tour de Suisse 2,is one of the ones I have actually done before. Looking forward to see how it compares to last time from my history.
The wretched. I used to fear this one, but today it was almost easy, I really need to retest (I tried FF last week-end but couldn’t change gears correctly on the bike, first level mode session for … months at least).
F**!. I won’t even get halfway, probably not even third of the way, through this one before I’ve burnt all my matches and then some. I’ll be toast WAY before the end. End Game is correct. Oy….
@JSampson I truly, and I mean, truly appreciate the positive motivation from you but it’s not the positive self talk that I’m worried about. It’s the reality that my body….cardiovascular system in particular….does not handle “one right after the other” MAP intervals good at all. Now, something like 14 VG’s, I can handle as long as I don’t try to match the cadence but MAP intervals such as these, one right after the other for a long period of time, is where my cardiovascular system draws the line just shortly into them. I’ve never been good at intervals such as these and at 54 it’s only getting worse. That’s just the reality and fact of it.
I feel for you. Telling yourself “I’m not really dying” only gets you so far on this kind of situation…. I Remember using that kind of positive self talk phrasing to push myself (too hard) when first getting going in Sufferlandria. In hindsight I wasn’t being very wise. Haha.
I think keeping the keyboard down arrow handy during this workout is likely the way to go.
Just did Attacker. I was about to go to 80% when the caption popped up “We know what you’re thinking… 4/5 isn’t bad…” The bastards shamed me into gritting my way through it. Happy I did. And now I need a nap.
Everybody has different strengths and weaknesses so I can believe your difficulties. Just do not use age as an excuse. I did that workout without too many problems when I was 70. Maybe your numbers were set on a day that you were extra strong and did not reflect your real levels.
It could be you are fatigued, maybe your nutrition or sleep was not right. Last year I could not finish Kitchen Sink, but this year I could finish it.
I was also surprised how easy it felt this time - last ridden 2019 though. I have no problem with most of the remasters - this was average I would say. To me music and general cycling content is more important.
