Wahoo Trackr wake-up

Hi, I understood the need to connect my new trackr to a power source when setting it up, but subsequently I can’t make it wake up by simply installing it on my chest. Any tips gratefully received…

So you had it working and now it won’t charge? Can you get the LEDs to light up at all? Have you tried wetting two fingers and holding them against both of the metal contacts on the pod itself?

There’s also a whole troubleshooting page here: https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/19230227508754-TRACKR-HEART-RATE-Information-and-Setup#h_01J15DMNJ5J383X2EPM2AVHFVW

It charges fine, the issue I have is with waking it up. Wahoo says ‘simply install it on your chest’ but that doesn’t work for me.
The only way I can wake it up is to connect the sensor to its charging cable and a power source, which is a nusiance.
I’ll try wetting my fingers - thanks

I have had this problem too but I found disconnecting it from the strap and shaking it hard seems to wake it up.

Make sure the pads are wet (I always lick it) and if it doesn’t want to wake up try tapping it

I’ve had one since they came out and I always remove the pod from the strap when I’m done, then I attach it to the strap when I’m gonna use it and I ALWAYS lick my fingers and run my wet fingers along the contact pads of the strap. Ymmv but this works for me every single time.

This usually works for me. Once in a while I’ll put it on and take too long to start a workout and it will have gone back to sleep. I usually have to unsnap it completely and wait a minute before snapping it back on and then it wakes back up and connects.

I have the same issue, not waking up when attaching, exactly like Richie, I lick the sensor pads to create a conduct to the skin. It works every time.

It also usually connects quickly to SYSTM. Tho the past couple times it has had trouble connecting and staying connected to Zwift at the start. Connects but then says it’s disconnected. I’ll start a ride and it will stop reporting and Zwift will say it’s disconnected. So I’ll go into my sensors and unpair and repair it. Sometimes that works. But this morning it took two tries and then threatening to do it again and then suddenly it stuck and stayed connect to Zwift for the rest of the time. Just takes 5 annoying minutes of fiddling at the start.
