Completely agree with you there. If anything, the MTB felt was waaaaaay worse than The Omnium, although in the latter, I almost felt sick.
The BMX video makes me dizzy with all the ups and downs!
Itâs FABULOUS on the KICKR Bike!
When I did this for the 1st time, back in January, I felt like I almost got tossed forward off the bike on some sudden changes from up to down, but it didnât feel quite so radical when I did it last week. Maybe I was more prepared for those changes in tilt this time.
Thatâs a ride that makes the KICKR Bike really shine in realism!
Oh I didnât have much time to watch the video. You know, taking attention off while on a set of rollers is never a good thing ![]()
Edit 1: But the BMX ride was more bearable. Wouldnât say it was thaaaat tough, and definitely wouldnât say it was easy either.
This morning I did the MTB race (85%) and then 14VG (80%).
If you need me just scoop me up off the floor from the puddle of lactic acid, suf holy water, and tears.
Funnny thing here is that there are no gradient changes on the BMX vidđ¤ˇđźââď¸
I think they ment the MTB workout, a.k.a. the Kickr Climb Promotion Video
Perhaps. The other funny thing is I would have sworn, in FACT I did, that the BMX had gradient encoded changes when I did it back in Dec 2022. When I rode it last week, it had none so I questioned my own sanity (not an unusual thing for me btw
)
Why, Sir @emacdoug? JustâŚwhy?

At this point, questioning my sanity is like closing the gate once the horse has already bolted. ![]()
If you remember exactly what part of the workout these screenshots are from⌠then you definitely werenât riding hard enough.

In fact, I nearly missed it because I was doing precisely that. Just happened to see it out of the corner of my eye as I started lowering my head. How ironic! Lol. ![]()
What?!? Where is this from?
I want to to tell you, but if I told you that would ruin most of the fun! ![]()
Most of your fun ![]()
This is from 14 Vise Grips no?
I remember. I saw it. I was working hard but am due for a test so could definitely have been working harder.
Thanks, @TrapMeSuf you are correct. I guess with the earlier talk of the MTB race, that was all I was thinking about, but interestingly enough, when I DID do the BMX workout, I THOUGHT I remembered it also having gradient changes because one thing that bugged me a bit as I did it was that the changes in slope as they rode over those rollers did NOT coincide with the changes in POWER DEMAND. So the result was that I sometimes found myself subconsciously letting off the power as the riders rolled into another DOWNhill, and I flirted with the ERG spiral a few times till I realized what I was doing.
Somehow, I intuited that recollection to mean there were also gradient changes during the BMX video, but Iâm sure that you are correct that there are not, Sir Glen!

Yes, it is 14 Vice Grips. Second section (after the middle recovery). Second interval (1 minute).

I didnât even notice there was even this scene despite doing 14 Vise Grips six times now (including the most recent one). ![]()
Just finished the challenge and the UCI Week. I enjoyed this challenge. There were some sections of the video that made my head spin with dizziness. ![]()
Looking forward to next monthâs challenge!
