Finally did Who Dares yesterday and while I miss the old footage (that Strade Bianche finish holds a special place in my heart), the remastered is still great. Though I’m sure those finishing sprints at the end of each race are longer… (they’re not, I’m just less fit)
I gave Who Dares a whirl this morning to see if I could get through a proper Sufferfest video at 100%. I couldn’t, had to drop to 80% to get through it BUT I did it on the old video so I could appreciate it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the old video and the timing to the music. It’s so EPIC. Around the 24-25 minute mark the rider in the white jersey is up out of the saddle pumping the pedals in the rain to the beats per minute of whichever Atomic Cat song is on. Plus all the cobbles, ahhh. It’s just such a glorious video. I couldn’t bear to update it.
Since at the moment I have the luxury of 2 functioning PCs I think I will try the new version of the workout on the other one.
Classic Who Dares…sigh, what a master piece. ![]()
I’m sorry Wahoo I couldn’t try your new one just yet. Nah, I’m not sorry haha!
Gah! I need a copy of the old video! I love the old version. The music and the video is just perfect together. And the Strada Bianca section is amazing. When Lucinda Brand attacks… and then “Bass in your face” plays as she powers up the final stretch on the final cobbled alleyway and she starts to fall back but then pushes ahead… it’s just epic.
Coming to the end of the three first weeks of a 3:1 MAP block, I had to do Nine Hammers for the first time in ages (no, it was not in the plan, I replaced The Chores. Someone once told me I never had to do them again). NAILING the hammers, I got to do Who Dares as a reward ![]()
Finally, I rounded it off with some lower back release to bag me that benchmark badge.
Feels like its time for a HM to adjust those numbers ![]()
I was actually on my way to possibly maybe completing the January challenge, (tho 1 more workouts and FF in seven days was going to be tough for me) .
Alas as I attempted to complete a chain replacement for the first time I found out my multi tool chain tool will not work to insert an 8 speed Chain pin(they are a bit longer than 9/10 etc speed pins). Now I wait a week ish for a proper chain tool to arrive at my rural location.
I was really annoyed at first but it’s ok. I’ll try the “February challenge” instead!
Dame @Isa aren’t you near Country Cycle?
I’d have thought they could have you fixed up in no time?
Nope, I am about an hour’s drive away from Brandon, MB - I won’t get in there for a few weeks at best from the looks of things. Generally I go to Stream’n’Wood, only because the parking is easier than at A&L! Well, last time I tried.
So much to do, so little time.
We still have a few days to go to earn the January Badge!
Keep up the hard work and get it in your trophy case to kick start 2025.
Kudos to those who have already completed it ![]()
NO YOGA, NO BADGE!
I finished the January Challenge yesterday. I discovered that only doing the Rides was not enough to acquire the badge. Had to “do” the two Yoga vids to complete the challenge.
You mean you “got to” do 2 yoga vids. Maybe this is the start of something special, Sir Ruben @Medina81

Why is everyone so down on “doing” yoga? Hey, at least you got to complete the challenge and get the badge. Some of us haven’t been that fortunate this month. After a strong start, the duties of my job have prevented me from completing it this month. Kudos to you @Medina81
@emacdoug Agreed!! Sadly It appears as though a lot of the EPIC stuff is being removed and replaced with not-so-epic-stuff. I’ve also noticed that in some of the remastered videos that when it says “Sprint” or “Atrack” that sometimes the cue isn’t followed by a Sprint or Attack🤷🏻♂️
Hi Eric, hope your winter training is going well. Lots of people like it, but yoga is just not my thing. I know I should do that or at least stretch, but my routine is simply jump on the bike and warmup. That’s just me, but trust me I believe everybody should “do what works for you”. Hope to see your posts during the Tour. If you can please join us for one of the Zwift Knight Rides.
Yay, just got my January badge - first since April last year - I really enjoy the monthly challenges, keep them coming…
Also: holy chamois, Demi Vollering is awesome.
Wait until you see the Full Vollering ![]()

Best. Comment. Ever. ![]()

If Demi Vollering is awesome, Full Vollering must be awful.
(I’ll get my coat)
I think THAT comment may rival the “best comment ever”
