What's new with the Wahoo app

I have been seeing Zwift and any other workouts done in Strava in my Wahoo calendar for ages so I am a bit confused what is different from the 11th November??

Maybe coincidence but I noticed that my last two efforts are not shown on the “Recent Activities” section, nor did they sync to TP. They still don’t show up in TP despite my efforts to reshare/reauthenticate.

Any ideas?

You can go to the GC web version to download the FIT file on your phone and proceed from there.

I’m so far immediately unimpressed. The suggested workouts are all no vid options. I do not pay a subscription to sit looking at a blank screen during a workout. No vid workouts might be useful to some people for outdoor rides, but I pay for the video content. Maybe if you had kept RGT the library of no vid workouts would have had value. Invest in new workout videos and I would be more likely to keep my subscription.

Oh, and still no AppleTV app or AirPlay.

@Rupert This wasn’t working for me at 1st but it is now. Really cool feature. I did two workouts recorded on Suunto watch today and they appeared right away in the Wahoo cloud.

@natestreet I love NoVids. I do them all of the time indoors and catch up on my streaming or just listen to my own playlists.

Tour de France Unchained on Netflix works great with any of the progressions that are in the Go Beyond 4DP Challenge.

Same here. Also do a lot of the inspiration videos indoors with the video off - perfect for extended zone 2 sessions

Some of the No-vids have no equivalent in the Sufferfest library…like the MAP Progression 5 I did this morning. I put on some music, and away I went.

For pure VO2 Max training, it is probably the best workout in the entire SYSTM library.

No AirPlay, but you can mirror from any Apple device to your AppleTV. I always mirror my IPad this way and it works flawlessly, also with sound / music.

My suggested workout today is Neck Mobility  Yeah not at all useful

Good morning
Another glitch (at least here…): the suggested workouts are not synched between the mobile App and the desktop App (iPhone/macbook). eg I adjusted my preference, chose a workout, over to the pain station: on my MacBook it was still showing the old workout.

My suggested workouts today told me I hadn’t done anything hard in seven days. I did a half Monty of Saturday, 3 hr mtb ride on Sunday, 1 hr z2/3, igniter and team scream (very hard) on Monday, Getting Away With it on Tuesday and then Wednesday was the Bavaria sprints workout. What’s more on Tuesday it suggested I do something easier as I had done some hard workouts in the prior days, now it seems to have forgotten that. Not especially useful. It wonder if it is just looking at TSS, and not at the intensity of what you did.

Update: I have now manually uploaded the recovery ride I did this morning (25 mins z1). Despite earlier telling me that I needed to do a hard workout, it is now recommending some yoga as I have already done a ride today? Think I’ll stick to either following a plan or listening to my body as to what I should do today.

@Rupert this still isn’t working. I have been through the permission steps as per the article but did an outdoor ride this morning that hasn’t come across from Strava.

So so far, the auto import from Strava doesn’t work and the recommended workouts feature seems pretty poor. These would be nice features if they worked, but as other people have said what makes SYSTM stand out from other platforms is the workouts with great content. Can’t help but feel the effort put into his could have gone into more Sufferfest workouts. I like the on location and pro ride content, they are nice additions and help keep it varied, but for me the Sufferfest is the reason I am here, and I am confident the same is true for others.

@sir_james.p Try disconnecting and reconnecting Strava in the SYSTM web version. That may have been how I got mine to work.

@jheb I find those helpful. Did Neck C today and the title is misleading as there is some plank work and stretches for the shoulders too. It is a short but effective session.

Have given that a try, will see if my ride home later gets pulled across.

I can see SYSTM listed as an enabled partner integration in Strava now but it doesn’t feature in the list of apps with access to my Strava data and I can’t see how to add apps to that list; Wahoo fitness is in that list, but not SYSTM.

Rides done outside and recorded on my Bolt V1 linked to Strava have for ages (probably over a year now at least)synced onto my system calendar via the app on my phone. Once your phone is synced to the head unit it will automatically put everything recorded on your head unit onto your calendar. This isn’t a new feature but seems some think it is by the comments on here.

It was very much pitched as a new feature. I use a Garmin head unit, so doesn’t currently sync with my wahoo account, but what I took from the announcement this week, was that any activity would be brought over from Strava regardless of what you record it on.

@sir_james.p That is probably the case and as we know TSS doesn’t recognize above threshold work very well. Maybe using NP as part of the model along with time in zones would work better.

Nope hasn’t worked. @Rupert am I doing something wrong of have I misunderstood. Is any ride, regardless of the device it’s recorded on meant to coming through from Strava automatically?
