Elite diretto x currently gathering dust tho as I’m not able to train
Dig the green chevrons! I put orange on mine.

Yeah it’s nice to add your own touches
Kreitler rollers, 3 1/2” with no fan. I move The work out around to different spots so no pain cave pics. Sorry.
Tacx Vortex Smart with a Cannondale 12 speed (!) road bike. Win 8.1 laptop. Ancient all the way around, but works great!
Sweet setup
Kettler RAcer S from 2015, using an Android Tablet as Bluetooth bridge and a software from http://ergo.ub-online.de/index.php/de/ to translate protovcols into FE-C for ERg mode. Works fine even unsupported
Hello Danilo and all posting on this thread.
Its very good timing for me as im looking for some well informed opinions. My Budget that I was going to use for Assimino pedals will now I have decided be for a new direct drive smart trainer. I find as usual that its easy to believe what you want to believe when reading reviews.
So Im down to two: Elite Suito or Taxc Flux S.
Any help or opinions would be much appreciated from the Sufferlandrians.
Cheers
Simon
Honestly, I don’t know. But if I had to make a choice, I would trust DCRainmaker.
Please read this article. I am absolutely sure it will answer all your questions in more detail than we could possibly do right here.
Ray knows his stuff and gives clear, no bs, recommendations.
I am following his advice when it comes to most of my gear.
Thanks P . I wish I had a Pound for every DC article I have read lol. Like I said though word of mouth is always good and no harm waiting to see if anybody on here can help.
No worries. I wasn‘t sure you know DCR and felt like it was my duty. Let’s hope someone can give you real world experiences.
@spoons52 : The suito is silent and handles low cadence great. I think reaction time for short intervals should be like other trainers (tooks sometimes no time, sometimes two or three seconds). I only use it in erg mode, despite the testing sessions (half monty, full frontal). Advantage for me was the included cassette.
I have ridden the flux s at a friend but just in slope mode, so I could not really compare it. But the price, low cadence, the silent “noise” and the cassette were the buying points for the suito for me. I used it last winter with vector3 as power source and now with “normal” pedals. Power reading seems the same.
I’ve got a dumb Kinetic Road Machine which has seen many hours of suffering since it arrived in January 2014.
I spent an age last winter looking at smart trainers and actually purchased Assioma PM pedals. Obviously there’s no ERG mode but I figured it meant I can use proper rather than virtual power in the Sufferfest app, and have power data when out on the road. So for my budget I got two uses out of it, rather than just one.
That’s exactly the reasoning I had/have for retaining my Tacx Booster dumb trainer and using Garmin Vector 3S pedals.
I admit that I am curious about Erg mode but I’m not currently interested in stretching out my finances to buy a smart trainer.
Thanks harpoon and Titanicus. I was at first convinced I wanted the pedals then persuaded myself that my left side crank arm power metre is good enough for out on the road, which led me to think that a good quality trainer with accurate power readings for indoors is the way to go.
So Just pulled the trigger on Elite Suito (thanks Danilo for the write up) arriving tomorrow . Must admit im really looking forward to the Erg mode side of things.
Cheers

@spoons52, I’d also encourage you to reach out to the minions. They are in the mix with most every piece of connectable hardware every day. Our company is owned by Wahoo now so we are often written off because of that but if you want the real scoop from people who deal with these things every day I’d encourage you to reach out to them. They will give it to your straight.
Thanks Cody. Ive been on the Sufferfest help pages and been reading all about erg mode. Seems like the Suito ticks all the boxes so looking forward to “New Trainer day” tomorrow.
Cheers
Simon
