Who objected?
No he didnāt. A relationship between power and duration has been known for years. Its recognition had nothing to do with Coggan not matter how much he beats his chest. What he did was simplify a complex graph onto three bands and communicate it with a book. What Systm/Wahoo have done is simplify. Complex system into 4 bands.
Wowzer great discussion folks, in ye lot think I found my crew of fellow data and sports science geeks.
Think you will be interested in https://app.athletica.ai/ Iāve been using it since December and find it very interesting especially their workout reserve metric which can be added as a data field on garmin head units. They also provide a lot of learning resources on DS to explain why things are done they way they are. This i love because if I know the why behind a workout Iām all in. 90% of the time I use workouts SYSTM that matches their recommended session and for outdoor spins I do what ever the group ride is that day. Also imports hrv and sleep metrics from garmin. Still has a kinda start upish feel to it which is kinda cool. Does it replace all the other sites Iām using? No, itās another view point. Plus they have a good active forum with the founders and coachās regularly engaging with posters.
Have fun exploring
