Yes. Two of my Android devices also have ANT+ support but it seems this is becoming more and more rare so I assume the ROI for including support in SYSTM is not there. Can’t say I have an issue with this personally (but then I’m not using Android for the cycling workouts so skewed opinion)
So please can you explain how to get the Power Builder plan into your calendar using Building Blocks? Thanks. Will we see a return of the Special Focus plans that are in the Sufferfest app, e.g. Volcano, as these were good fun? New features look great, well done to the team, although graphics seem less sophisticated. It would be great to see the IF, 4DP focus and 4DP workout profile on the iPhone app, but hopefully that will come. Thanks for the efforts and I hope the outstanding friendliness of Sufferfest support remains as brilliant as ever!
As a very long time citizen of Sufferlandria, certainly 10 years have passed maybe more since I downloaded my first video and have loved it every since.
I totally understand why the changes were necessary in order to grow beyond a small niche and really excited by what I’ve seen so far in the app - and ridden and yoga’d already. Looking forward to seeing what further improvements come in the near and distant future.
One really great surprise this morning was that I could finally play sound through the Sonos in my pain cave from the iPad running SYSTM - absolutely awesome new feature - love it
Will Systm sync with Garmin Connect or Garmin watches?
Now that you found a different way to avoid scaring off the easily frightened…give us back the bleeding eyes logo!
What happened to the information in a video description that detailed where the footage came from? Pro rides are obvious, but it’s not there in any of the Sufferfest videos
Plus one on bringing that back please
It is going to take some time to get used to the new app and identity. It is a lot to take in. While I am happy that there is now an Android option, I do wish it didn’t have to cost us the Sufferfest identity. Wahoo is clearly in charge now. I do understand that Sufferfest is niche, but that was what attracted me to the platform in the first place. I do wish you had the option of having a red, black and white theme for those of us that still need time to transition to the blue and chevron (that said I do like the dark theme as it made things a little better).
- No passport: one more sign to the loss of the Sufferfest identity
- No Abi Carver featured in the Library page on the Yoga section (who are these people by the way, looks like Wahooligans
)
- Mt Sufferlandria is gone
from mental training…
- The Sufferfest has been relegated to a Channel within the “SYSTM”
- The Sufferfest name had panache and identity. The SYSTM name is generic and has no soul to it. I do wish more thought had been spent on creating a distinctive name.
That said. I love the refreshed app. I love the availability of the app on Android. It means that I can make SYSTM (still hate that name), my only training app (was using TR and the big Z before as well). And for all my gripes about loosing the name Sufferfest, it do like that it has been brought back in some form(no more Wahoo SUF which I also hated). I avoided getting the updated kit because I just didn’t get on with Wahoo SUF. Now that we are a channel within the larger SYSTM, I am hopping we can get a new kit with “The Sufferfest” on it. I still miss the bleeding eyes but I am beginning to warm up to the heraldic goat with laser eyes. I also appreciate that the videos are divided into different sections (The Sufferfest, Inspiration, GCN, ProRides). It makes this better than having everyting in a single list.
Some improvements:
- It is difficult to determine which videos have been downloaded without going into each one to check. The old app was much better at this. Is there a way to implement something?
- Please add descriptions of where the footage for a particular Sufferfest video came from. This was great and was present in The Sufferfest App.
- Please bring the Passport back
- Any way to have a red, black, and white theme?
- My PC has 1080p resolution. SYSTM has a lot of white space (or black space with dark theme) unless I increase the size of the text to 125% or 150%. The old Sufferfest app was better about scaling. Hopefully this can be improved.
I am staying because “I can never leave” Sufferlandria. In fact now that Android is here I will be here more often. Love the 4DP, love the sufferfest videos (I was still playing the old standalone videos on my Android tablet during the long wait for the Android app). I just wish there will be an injection of more “soul” into the app and ecosystem in the coming weeks (did I mention how generically awful the name SYSTM is? )
You should already be able to share you completed workouts to Garmin Connect. Make sure Garmin is authorized in the SYSTM app on the settings page. You may have to disconnect it and reconnect it.
Wll be cool to try it, but since this morning the trainer does not connect with the new app. With the old app the trainer connected always, with no issue. But know, my trainer and the app are useless. I can´t do my workout today because of this issue. Will be a shame if I have to cancel my subscription because of this. Already have a service ticket but still not working. Shame.
You summarised it better than I ever could. I second virtually each and every point you made.
I can’t seem to find some of the old plans, in particualr the combined strength/yoga plans and those from the “All-in” section. Am I not looking hard enough or have they been removed?
Yes Please!!
@gpsjared I for one love the music in FF and all the vids. It’s probably the main reason I got hooked on Sufferfest 10 years ago. Power Station has the best soundtrack, then probably 9 hammers. Coke Machine has to be the best track of all.
Not hating on anyone for loving 10-year-old “classics”, I just know I can always do much better for my listening preferences than what the app has built in.
was holding out for the android version, but now its out it wont work on my phone doesnt work on huawei phone with latest android such a bummer
Coke Machine is a toon, top 3 for me too. I rode Power Station with @DancingCyclist the other day and it gave us both a huge boost of energy the rest of the day. I was boppin’ my head until 11pm that night (and that’s way past my bed time)
No offence taken, music is such a personal thing. We’ve spent countless hours combing through libraries that license music and we try to find the diamonds in the rough - but nothing really beats a personally curated Spotify playlist that’s for sure.
Hey @BikeMan - it’s probably something we should clean up with the way we talk about supported devices, but the app does work on Huawei/EMUI (and least it does on the devices we have in the testing pool). We don’t “officially” support it because there are some EMUI/SYSTM app interactions aren’t optimised. If you haven’t given it a shot, I reckon you give the 14 day trial a crack
I´m start to fell like I´m been stealed. The issue with the connection is unsolved yet, no response from the “minions”, no nothing. Very, very, very dissapointed. Everithing was great yesterday with the old Sufferfest App, today, not suffering just dissapointment.
2x on last suffered date request
I quite like the new format. One really good thing I have noticed though is that the connection between my TACX trainer and the workout is WAY better. No dropouts and much more responsive with the changes. Woohoo.
