I’ve got a half Monty next week to tide me over until I do the FF in the new year.
I like a target and wondered if anyone knew which step you have to get past on the ramp to improve your previous values?
What I have found if you get a get a good chunk of step 11 then it is usually an improvement.
I’m not sure, Sir, but you do get estimates along the way.
Brilliant. Try to get through step 11 then
Step one of the ramp is 50% of your current MAP and then each step goes up by about 6% of MAP. As Sir Glen says, I think if you get through step 11, your new MAP will be just a bit above the previous value.
I never said that. That was @KNNielsen
Iirc I’ve never made it to 11. Will have to check back and count to be sure.
Edit, I’ve never made it through 11 full steps. But it looks like 11 is the magic step for improvements over most recent test numbers.
Oops! Poor reading comprehension on my part.
Must be the bleeding eyes.
Well, it seemed like a good idea to do FTP progressions three days in a row, 5x6 Thursday, 5x7 Friday, and 5x8 today. And in true SUF spirit, the recovery segments in those are 4 minutes, 3 minutes, and only 2 minutes for today. So, there was a fair amount of sweat dripping in my eyes!
Ah yes I forgot about that!
Thanks everyone. Got it done but to be honest, I didn’t have a clue what step I was up to by the end! Just hanging (on)!
MAP up 5 and FTP 10. Knew my threshold levels were too easy and I’m not suited to punchy efforts. So I don’t think it’s overestimated my MAP like with some people.
It was more fun than I remember (considering it’s a no vid workout.
Next time, if it isn’t fun, just think of this thread: #SUFRhymes 🫵
