Hi, hoping someone techy can help. I train in a pool wearing a Garmin Epix (couldn’t get on with the Rival!) Each time I upload my swim to Connect and it pings it to my ELEMNT app it’s recorded as an open water swim and skews all the data. In ELEMNT when trying to edit the data it doesn’t list ‘lap swimming’ as an option. Anybody got any clue what’s going on?

Hi Teresa, I use Form swim goggles and they always record first as open water but able to change to lap swimming within both the Wahoo app and Systm app. Reviewing the data, comparing to Training Peaks it is quite similar.
It would seem that the Elemnt app is mainly for GPS bike computers and is slowly being discontinued in favour of the Wahoo App previously known as the Fitness App and is now supporting the newer devices.
It might be worth investigating the two different app’s above depending on which one best suits your needs.
