Hi everyone! I’m doing the TOS for the first time! Is there a first timer team out there?
Moved your post to the ToS topic. I dunno if that will help or not but worth a shot. Also, you can search the DPF ToS page for teams. Also, see you at the start line (this is tour #7 for me )
You came late to the party. #10 for me. Several I was Fluffy’s driver, but then again, nobody wants to go through what I did to get that position. As to First Timers, we all were there and welcome to the crowd.
Nice! I still intend to ride 2013-2015 just, umm, haven’t found the time (I’ve got loads of time).
Where did you find the routes? I missed a few for a couple of those years and would love to do them (not again like the mythical TOS from Hell).
Sir @jmckenzieKOS , I bought the posters from that “bad place” but I also have this
I don’t know which is more evil the 2015 or 2017 Queen stage. I think the Dame Alyssa stage might be more painful.
Well, sounds like you’ve got your next challenge set out for you Sir!
Thank you, sir! I am planning to have lots of fun while intermittently suffering.
@catdoc I’m a first timer too. In lieu of drafting, I’m happy to cheer you on if you return the favor.
@AkaPete Fantastic! If we get enough people we can have a cheerleading team and make pyramids.
first time for me. looking forward to it. I did my Kos this saturday now i am filling the gap. A week with and FF/HM. I not sure what to do the last week leading up to the Tour. Thinking lot of primer videos. Come find me on starva and we can cheer each other on.
Funny typo. Perhaps eat more??
Hahah my phone flipped it to Something and I just changed the a at the end. Lol need to pay better attention to what is been changed LOL
Nah, it’s Sufferlandria, typos are part of the “fun”
Sir @Glen.Coutts then I am in the right place. Typos typos everywhere.
Well, you can never leave Sir so…
This will also be my first ToS! I’m new to cycling–got really into it last summer, started riding consistently indoors in October, and started off the new year with HM/FF and the ToS Prep Plan.
I have family with Parkinson’s and I’ve benefited from PD organizations (namely, Parkinson’s Foundation and Michael J. Fox Foundation). I admire that Wahoo/Sufferfest have partnered with DPF for this and am excited to combine my new found love of cycling with fundraising for a very important cause.
Quick question: What, technically, is the difference between the Get Me Through It and Focused options for the Tour? When I preview plans for the two and compare the workout profiles, they are identical. Is the app experience any different between them?
If you implement the plan with either focused or GMTI or both options and start a workout from the calendar you’ll see that the coaches have adjusted the intensities of the workouts. Focused isn’t quite as dialed down as the GMTI option. You can implement both and decide on the day how you wanna ride it. Or you can ride it unadjusted by starting the workout from the library instead of the calendar. Whatever you choose, may GvA have mercy on your poor innocent soul
This will be my first ToS as well. I wasn’t planning to do it but life happens and my scheduled event is now off the table. Looking forward to it. This might be a good place for us first timers to share our daily experiences.
