Working on it. Hope to have a quicker turnaround than Wahoo’s kit.

Of course. I meant outside of the forum.

Ah, that’s true. I know a few folks from my SCA days that would find this hilarious. And, yes, a few are knights by honour in combat.

You’re SCA as well? (or were) Nice.

Circling back -

Another strong showing for the Knight Ride this weekend! Some big horses out front, great day for the sprinters - and sprint-curious. Much pre-holiday SUFFering had by all for two(ish) hours around rural France.

One thing I would like to address: the intent all along for hosting these banded rides was to be a social outing for Knights and Citizens of our great mythical nation, where we could could all come out and suffer together each week, regardless of fitness level or training goals.

It’s fun to set goals and all, and sometimees we like to push ourselves with a little friendly competition, but please don’t think that because you don’t have a huge engine, you’re not taking massive pulls on the front, or maybe where you are in your training/fitness you’re comfortable doing Z1/Z2 efforts, that somehow you’re not welcome, or you’re “slowing us down”.

All. Are. Welcome.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk. And be looking for a special, post-holiday edition of the Knight Ride this coming Saturday.

(Oh, and by popular demand we’re going to kick it back by 30 minutes next week - see how that works. I’M SO SORRY Asian citizens for neglecting you! Wish you could join us every week! If someone wanted to step up to host an Asian/Oceania each week, I’d be happy to put it on the schedule for you! We could call it the “Knight Ride Too”…)

Aww man! You’re making these look waaaay to good to keep missing, Cap’n Sir! One day I might just show up and surprise you all (and myself)

So, we’d start at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time Saturday, Dec. 29?

Thanks for the clarification and inclusiveness, @CPT_A. I’m pretty weak. I was worried that I should avoid dragging the group down, especially on recovery weeks. How does it work if you don’t ride the whole time and need to drop out earlier?

Then do that, @Cheryl.Vasan! We’ll give you a cheerful goodbye, and hope to see you the next week.

@Cheryl.Vasan Just come on out and ride. The beauty of being banded (in suffering) is that it keeps all ability levels together. We had some riders going all out, riders doing TP workouts in the background, others doing focused intervals, etc.

I like the 1-2 hours spent with the group as it gives me a way to do some harder efforts without being tied to a certain workout. Shredded chamois dancing is funner that way.

Bleeding eyes (and noses) are optional, though.

You had better Sir Glen. I hope to stop waking up on Saturdays coughing up all sorts of colors.

May I humbly request a flattish TT type route this week? Something to give good mileage for the Rapha 500?
Maybe laps of the Jungle? :smiling_imp:
