I have a question. Will we be getting any new content anytime soon?
SYSTM is feeling very dated and while it still has a wealth of material very little of any note has been added for the best part of 2 years now. I don’t count adding dull, meaningless Wahoo Infomercials as new, engaging content.
I appreciate many videos had to be remastered (some well, many horribly) but the lack of new content means it really does feel like SYTSM is slowly dying.
Even mixing up the plans (which have not changed for years) would be welcome.
We appreciate your post and feedback. We love SYSTM and want to keep it alive just as much as you do. We are actively working on new content this summer to launch this fall. Stay tuned…!
I’ve noticed a few people mentioning this recently. It’s good to see the team member reply above about new content coming this fall; hopefully, that includes some fresh variety for the training plans as well.
It may sound strange and not real like real SUF but I do miss the a ton of deleted Inspiration Vids.
Ride for your Live, All for one, Reveal the Path, and many more. Why have they been deleted? Tbh, it’s not about the footage itself but about varying wattages, cadence etc. They have been very good for doing zone two sessions.
Maybe you could re-activate the sessions without vids if there is any licence issue. Sane as havebeen done with Chading Ledgens. I just found them all to be a very good add.
I wish they would drop the subscription model, and do it like old times: release expansions. Something like a base model that you pay and keep forever; and then the 2027 expansion, xmas expansion, whatever… You could create events that only included workouts from these expansions to “motivate” people to buy them, whatever. You could add a subscription for services, to participate in competitions, etc.
But this model of having to pay for videos and workouts, something that feels static, is not appealing at all…
No, anything but expansions. I love that my subscription gives me access to everything they have to offer. I don’t want to have features or content locked behind paywalls that I have to keep paying extra for. I would rather leave than endure that nonsense
I’ve not been using Wahoo for a while (training for marathon) but today I logged back in and was surprised to find…nothing has changed. I was expecting a few new ‘on locations’ at least but then I don’t think I’ve been getting the challenge emails or announcements of late either (maybe there haven’t been any?) I did The Wretched (my fav) to get me back into it and test my legs, same soundtrack (good) but the syncing in the video is out with the effort. You used to get the penultimate climb and the downhill bit (where 2 riders say I thought the sufferlandrian was finished) and now it’s just a pull on the flat, that and the finish is nowhere near as epic.
So two concerns for me…no new content and what content is there has been messed with. Interested to see the promise of more in the fall (Autumn) - my renewal is September so some concrete info ahead of that would be useful.
Looking at the SUF and OL workouts, which is mostly what I do, there are very few 40 to 45 min workouts. Coaches and App developers tend to think that a 50 to 60 minute session is “short “ , but for many of us, 40 to 45 minutes is all we have before having to get to work.
Thanks. I only use the no vids outside. The reason that I subscribe is to have the entertainment linked to the workout, otherwise, I would just use Trainer Road. For example, the “Wahoo Fitness” videos are mostly dogs. I don’t even bother trying them when a new one comes out. They need to learn from Sir Mike how to keep someone engaged. He talks to you through the workout and keeps you motivated. The SUF videos have music and a story line, which keeps me engaged.
Yeah I hear you on the video. Just wanted to say there was a bunch of stuff out there.
A lot of the no video workouts are just a chunk of the workout profile from a bigger workout, half of the Model or something. You can just do the first set from the Model. Would be nicer to have it as a full workout but hey.
I think there’s a reasonable offering across OL and SUF in the 40 - 45 min bracket. Namely:
High time, Do as you’re told, rue the day, Provence: Dentelles de Montmirial, G.O.A.T, Getting Away with It, French Pyrenees: Les Baronnies, Gran Canaria: Lake Chira and The Best Thing in the World.
There’s also a few a couple of minutes either side of that window:
The Omnium (47 mins), Rollercoaster (47 mins), The Wretched (46 mins), Col de Braus (46 mins)
If you look at 35 - 50 mins then you get quite a big selection.
